歐洲議會周四通過名為「關於中國對歐盟實體以及歐洲議會議員制裁」的無約束力決議案，凍結「中歐投資協定」審議程序，直至北京解除對歐洲議會5名成員及人權委員會的制裁為止。

決議案指，鑑於中國對維吾爾族人及香港民主的鎮壓，再加上對台灣日益加大對抗，當前的歐中戰略已經顯示其局限性，歐中關係無法如同過往一般發展。
