有緬甸人在社交媒體上指仰光街頭的軍人膚色白到不像緬甸人，裝甲車上的人十問十唔應﹐好似唔識緬文，更好笑的是裝甲車和貨車在仰光迷路了。

緬甸軍方發動政變、推翻昂山素姬領導嘅全國民主聯盟政權，並且宣布由軍方接管權力、進入為期一年嘅緊急狀態。

之後民眾連續多日上街，但軍方絲毫未有半點讓步，甚或用好多手段、試圖鎮壓示威。水炮車、裝甲車、實彈射擊、斷網、拉記者、釋放囚犯製造混亂等等，好多似曾相識嘅畫面、都喺緬甸出現。甚至假如有人煽動對政府或軍隊仇恨，就可被判處20年監禁。

縱使形勢險惡，緬甸全國多處依然有示威，抗議軍方奪權。公務員、警護、學生，甚至警方都有倒戈、加入爭取民主嘅行列。

一個參與抗議活動嘅緬甸青年話：「雖然我哋都好驚，但係為咗我哋嘅未來、我哋嘅下一代，都係要繼續勇敢地企出嚟。如果我哋輸咗，就會係奴隸，所以一定要贏。」
