The Hong Kong Police Force is CCP’s fierce running dog to oppress Hongkongers. Police brutality, indiscriminating arrests, threat, abuse & seizure of civil rights … all become too common. Western countries & international human rights groups condemned the horrific situation, but despised by CCP & the Hong Kong Government. Police brutality in fact is worsening in Hong Kong.

香港言語治療師總工會5名理事上周因羊村繪本案，被裁定串謀發佈煽動刊物罪成，引起國際關注。美國《華盛頓郵報》編輯部在案件宣判後發表評論文章，形容案件標誌香港司法制度跌至新低點，逐漸變成專制地區。政務司司長陳國基周四（15日）發表公開信，強烈譴責《華郵》的文章，稱文章完全不尊重香港司法制度。
《華郵》指出港府運用英治時期留下的煽動罪扼殺批評聲音，包括拘捕打算在北京冬奧揭幕日到中聯辦示威的社運人士古思堯、在法庭旁聽時鼓掌的人士，以至《蘋果日報》和《立場新聞》的高層等。文章形容香港從自由和法治的堡壘，變為專制和封閉的社會，令人慘不忍睹。
陳國基周四發表公開信回應《華郵》評論文章，稱「我們強烈譴責你們社評中毫無根據的指控」，強調羊村繪本案被告是在「公平審訊」後被定罪，「任何指摘這罪行（煽動罪）用作扼殺異見的說法都毫無根據」。

This is not a post recounting the details of the #UmbrellaRevolution so much as what it stood for and how it informed the #fightforfreedom in #HongKong. For years, #HKers had been struggling to defend our rights and values from the #CCP. The #UmbrellaMovement in 2014 was for many an awakening to the root cause of the social problems in #HK - the lack of a popularly mandated government as ours was (and is) but a #Beijing puppet.

The experience of 2014 produced the now much more mainstream indigenous ideology and inspired new protest tactics in 2019. Hong Kong has never stopped evolving to cope with challenges and does not intend to stop now. "Be water", the city-wide pro-democracy movement in 2019 taught us, even though it may be dark and the suffering ahead seem endless, don't lose heart. We will remember who we are, what we stand for, persevere and outlive the tyrant.

Chef Executive of Hong Kong, John Lee, announces plans to establish a 'Response and Rebuttal Team' in response to online disinformation. This move raises concerns about government control over information. Possible forms of the team include a government 'Ministry of Truth' to determine facts, a dedicated website for countering foreign and local opinions, or a large-scale online army. The implications for freedom of speech and collaboration with national security agencies are worrisome. The naming choice of the team reflects the leadership's questionable thinking and intelligence.
