At the Lennon Wall near Tai Po Market station, citizens stacked piles of Apple Daily newspaper, which they have bought to show support, for people to take away. Most of the copies have been gone.
The Lennon Wall was restored in the morning but by 2:00 pm they were already destroyed again. A note that read "despite having a weak voice, I will not stay silent" could still be found on the wall.
Meanwhile, the hashtags #WeNeedAppleDaily and #SupportAppleDaily are trending among Hong Kong netizens to voice support for the city's local newspaper under the menace of the national security law.
