China-US Relations: Newsweek Compares Hundreds of Chinese Communist Party Documents with Official Media Reports to Reveal the Party's Espionage Activities in the US

The latest issue of Newsweek reported that at least 600 organisations affiliated with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have engaged in united front work to infiltrate and create division in the United States, with ambitions that went beyond influencing the election. Newsweek claimed that it has reviewed the names of the members of these organisations, hundreds of CCP documents and reports by Chinese state media to expose the organisations’ covert interference and influence in the United States.

Newsweek probed into the 600 organisations in question by examining their memberships, regular joint activities and high-level meeting information accessible only to trusted members of CCP, as well as hundreds of government documents, CCP documents, state media reports, and the organisations' own releases, to learn that the organisations' interference ranged from promoting a positive view of China to outright espionage.
