In Memory of "Yellow Raincoat Man", June 15, 2019

February 15, 2020 marks 8 months since the passing of
"Yellow Raincoat Man" Leung Ling-kit, the first death in Hong Kong's Anti-Extradition Law Protests.

Carrying banners, Leung fell from height at Pacific Place, a shopping mall in Admiralty, Hong Kong, after calling on the population to protect the city from the erosion of freedom and to fight against authoritarianism.

One day after his death, 2 million people, close to one third of the population, joined the June 16 march, marking the highest protest turnout in the history of Hong Kong.

In the elapse of 8 months, many remembered Leung by putting white flowers at the spot he landed.

Meanwhile, protests go on in Hong Kong.

United We Stand, Divided We Fall

"Never forget the the original intention” is not just a slogan,
We've shouted it on the Hong Kong Island,
We've shouted it in Kowloon,
We've shouted it in the New Territories.
Do you still remember the Five Demands?
Do you still remember our injured or lost brothers?
“We strive hard in our own way”
“No splitting up or distancing from each other”
How many HongKongers still remember these?
I love Hong Kong,
And I love everyone who walks by my side.
