A Sea of Flower to Commemorate Yellow Raincoat Man
2 years ago in 2019, "yellow raincoat man" Marco Leung displayed banners that read "Carrie Lam, Step Down" and "say no to extradition to China" on top of a shoping mall in Admiralty, Hong Kong.
He used his life to call on Hongkongers to wake up and resist the threat of the tyrannical regime.
He fell to his death in the same evening.
The next day, on June 16, 2019, over 2 million Hongkongers took it to the street to voice out their democratic demands and opposition to extradition to China.
Two years on, the situation in Hong Kong has not been improved, but Marco Leung used his life to remind Hongkongers to persist.

Civilian Suspected of Wounding a Policeman Deceased
On July 1, 2021, a massive number of police was stationed across Hong Kong, cordoning off different areas including Victoria Park and intercepting civilians. According to authorities, 10,000 officers were deployed.
At around 10pm, outside of Sogo Department Store in Causeway Bay, a uniform policeman fell on the ground, reportedly due to an injury by knife. The police subdued several nearby civilians on the ground. A man suspected of wounding the policeman was sent to the hospital. At 11:20pm, the 50-year-old civilian was certified dead.
According to sources, the man stabbed himself in the heart after wounding the policeman. The injured officer was conscious when being sent to the Queen Mary Hospital. The civilian on the other hand was in a critical state when sent to Ruttonjee Hospital.
It was reported thst the police had pulled out their guns, but did not shoot.
At around mid-night, tens of police officers were still checking passersby on site and demanded journalists to hand over their recordings.
Whereas the government immediately released statement condemning the act on the internet, there were netizens calling for everyone to wear black on July 2 in commemoration of the civilian who has passed away.

Hongkongers from different districts travelled to Causeway Bay to lay flowers and pay tribute to Mr. #LeungKinFai, who passed away by stabbing himself after injuring a policeman a day before.
Amidst heavy police presence, a small flower altar was sighted outside Sogo Department Store, where the incident took place.
However, just momentarily, two police officers walked to the altar and removed all the white flowers laid on the ground to mourn the deceased. It was around 21:45 in the evening.

On November 9, 2021, an auxiliary police officer in Hong Kong was said being bitten by a wild pig in North Point. The boar was later found fell to its death from a 10-meter high ground.
On November 12, 2021, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (#AFCD) immediately announced a "catch-and-kill" policy to euthanise wild boars that enter urban areas.
Eight animal rights group quickly launched a signature campaign titled "Wild boars are innocent. Do Not vent your hatred and anger at animals," urging the authorities to scrap the "catch-and-kill" policy.
One of the concern groups issued an open to Sophia Chan Siu-chee, Secretary for Food and Health and Leung Siu-fai, Director of AFCD.
In the letter, the group pointed out that boars are wild animals indigenous to Hong Kong. "They are living creatures with conscious and thoughts and should be respected."
The group criticized the authorities for disregarding the wild boars' rights to live in urban areas, calling the "catch-and-kill" policy utterly unreasonable.
In less then one day, the campaign received more than 30,000 signatures.

Since Russia invades Ukraine, several news journalists has died while covering stories in Ukraine. These casaulties include #BrentRenaud, an award winning journalist who had worked for New York Times; #PierreZakrzewski, senior Irish photography journalist, who died at 55, and #OleksandraKuvshinova, a Ukrainien producer who died at 24.
It was reported that Zakrzewski and Kuvshinova was hit by cannon when in a car to the rural area of Kyiv.
According to the statement released by Fox News, Zakrzewski had interviewed Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria war, and and “covered nearly every international story for Fox News”.
Zakrzewski once wrote, “it is difficult to explain the attraction to this way of life, but when you experience the emotional rollercoaster of war, both positive and negative, as a cameraman I feel I have a duty to tell their story”.
Zakrzewski revealed that he had to carry 400kg of equipment during transmission. Having witnessed atrocity in warzones as well as "smiles, hospitality, and camaraderie," Zakrzewski expressed that “when you think you have seen the worst excesses of man's inhumanity to man you realise the strength of the human spirit.”

During the COVID-19 briefing on March 27, 2022, Lam was asked who would be held accountable for the loss of lives and whether she would admit there were mistakes in her Covid approach and apologize to affected families.
Without addressing the questions directly, Lam denied that these were man-made mistakes. Lam insisted, “In a public health crisis, it is impossible to completely avoid these sorts of factors”.
