The One Year Mark of the Hong Kong Protests

The Hong Kong Pro-democracy Protests started with the government's forceful introduction of the controversial "Amendments to the Fugitive Ordinance", triggering massive protests since June 2019.

- The one year mark of the protests is approaching, and the Coronavirus outbreak is beginning to subside. This has led to organizations applying for Letters of No Objection for May 9, May 10, June 12, June 16, and July 1. However, none of these applications have been approved yet.

A list of events ahead:
- May 9, 4-6pm, Chater Garden. The Silver-Haired Group: Talks on coronavirus prevention and distribution of supplies.
*Letter of No Objection pending approval by police.

- May 10, 2pm, Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower. A civic group called "思穎團隊" (@fivednotonel) is organizing a march through Kowloon, themed "Awake Hongkongers! Step down Carrie Lam".
*Letter of No Objection pending approval by police.
