Altar for Chow Tsz-Lok and Chan Yin-Lam was set on fire in Tseung Kwan O

Since 2019, civilians have built an altar at Sheung Tak Car Park, from where 22-year-old Chow Tsz-Lok fell and at last passed away, to commemorate him and 15-year-old Chan Yin-lam, who studied in the area and was found clothless and dead in the waters. Chow and Chan, as two out of other deceased in the pro-democracy movement, were alleged victims of police brutality.

The altar was previously destroyed by unknown people and riot police for several times, but was rebuilt by Tseung Kwan O residents.

On 21 March, residents found that the altar was on fire at around 5a.m. Since the weather has been humid with rain these days, it is suspected that someone intentionally set the altar on fire.
