Police Continue To Make Arrests

Polices officers arrested two men at the intersection of Soy Street and Sai Yeung Choi Street South.

The man in white had his hands tied up with zip ties and his clothes ripped, the other arrestee, a man in black showed significant distress.

Both were brought onboard the police van with the plate number of AM8361. The current reasons for their arrest is unclear and district councillor Ted Hui is providing assistance on site.

China-Born Woman Criticizes Hong Kong Police and Xi Jinping: "You can't deceive me!"

In the afternoon, riot police continued to stop and search pedestrians in Causeway Bay. A 50-year-old woman with Chinese Mandarin accent told the press when she was being searched outside Hysan Place, some officers complained to her the “violent behavior” of some protestors, to which she responded with “stop bullying the kids!”.

Surprised by her response, police officers threatened to subdue her by counting “1, 2, 3”, but she was eventually let go.

“They can’t deceive me!” said the woman. She told the press that she moved to Hong Kong in 2002, witnessing the corruption in China, which prompted her to support the movement. In response to the introduction of the National Security Law, she criticized Xi Jinping as being “ungrateful.” “So many mainlanders came to Hong Kong for safety. Now you are turning Hong Kong into the mainland.”

Hong Kong Hotel Employees Union: Police Stationing at Hotels and Frisking Guests

According to Hong Kong Hotel Employees Union, Hong Kong Police are receiving tip-offs from many hotels in Central. Police are thus stationing at hotel entrances and exits to stop and search entrants, affecting guests' privacy and safety.

Some guests forgot their room number and failed to show their identity cards, and multiple riot police, with pepper ball guns in hand, forced into the room for investigation.

Riot Police Hits and Twists Man's Leg Before Arrest

Riot police surrounded middle-aged man. During the gang up, an officer forcefully twisted the man's right leg. They then proceeded to press on him with their full bodyweight for several minutes, before taking him into the police van. The arrestee could be seen limping towards the van. Surrounding citizens were shouting at the police to stop hitting the man.
