On Argyle Street, police forcibly dragged a man into the middle of the road. The man seemed to be unconscious, laying flat on his back. A reporter noted that his eyes were closed, and was unresponsive.
An officer in white shoes was seen kicking the unconscious man's head repeatedly. A large number of riot police and plainclothes soon surrounded him, and searched his belongings.
Police subsequently rolled him over into the recovery position; no ambulance has arrived yet. Police denied volunteer first-aiders from approaching the man at first; after some negotiations, they allowed one first-aider to attend to the man at around 0058. The man was seen to have slight spasms in his lower body.
He later was escorted onto an ambulance, requiring a respirator. A police vehicle followed the ambulance.

Police suspected of pointing a gun at reporter
As the photos shown, an officer was left alone in a police operation to disperse protesters in Mong Kok. He was sighted holding his gun at the crowd in downtown area.
In the meantime, reporter of DB Channel, an internet media, followed tentatively to the whereabouts of the policeman, to properly execute his duty as a reporter. However, It was said that the police officer was suspected of pointing the gun at the reporter with his finger locked up on the trigger.

Problem Counting? Number of Arrestees During Protest Surged within 4 Hours

The following morning (Mar 1), the police stated in a press release that a total of 12 men and 6 women, with the youngest aged 15, were arrested for illegal assembly and other reasons. Memorial held in Tseung Kwan O for suspected victims of police brutality

Reporters Wearing Press Cards Demanded For a Stop And Search
Today marks the 6th mensiversary of the Prince Edward Station Attack on August 31st, 2019. Many Hong Kong citizens responded with flower offerings outside the MTR station. Two reporters from Stand News and a reporter who was broadcasting live was stopped and searched by the police. They were demanded to provide their Hong Kong ID cards even though they were wearing their press cards and were holding professional cameras.
According to the HKPF Website regarding valid reasons to stop and search civilians, officers “have the power to question any person about a crime or offence” and “may demand proof of identity, conduct computerized enquiries and search for weapons or drugs.”
However, the condition for searching is that “If a police officer finds any person whom he reasonably suspects of having committed or of being about to commit or of intending to commit any offence, he can search him/her for anything that is likely to be of value to the investigation of any offence that the person has committed, or is reasonably suspected of having committed or of being about to commit or of intending to commit.”
Yet the reporters who were stopped and search were already wearing press cards with their names and photos printed on, while carrying professional equipment for live broadcast and photography.

At around 2315, one mid-age woman, apparently a passer-by, was pepper-sprayed in close range. She fell down, but riot police ran by ignoring her.
Reporters were pepper-sprayed as well- just as police's usual "friendly" behavior towards the press. From the photo above, it is clearly seen that they were sprayed deliberately, even their cameras could not escape from that.

In the 8.31 incident, police were seen violently assaulting passengers on the platform and inside train cabins at the Prince Edward Station. The same train then carried casualties to Yau Ma Tei Station, where it was being locked down by the police stopped by the police. With the number of casualties unknown, civilians on ground were anxious and worried, as they did not know what the police were doing in secret.
Bewater HK filmed a first-aider begging the police to allow him access into Yau Ma Tei Station.
“I’ll give you all my gears, Sir! Please just let me come in and save them! You can hit me, even arrest me afterwards! Please let me go save them!” he begged and yelled, in vain.
Even in the war zone, medics are protected and treated with skme respect. How arrogant and cold-blooded the police are, to go to the extent of not just beating the innocent up, but denying them proper medical attention thereafter.
With the truth being covered, we will fight until justice is served.

(10 May) The Hong Kong police were already very familiar with Mong Kok’s ‘sachet bag strategy’(a strategy which allows them to make mass arrests), and it seemed like they stepped up their game tonight.
It seems that the police are targeting journalists more strategically so no one would be able to film what happened.
The reason why the 831 Prince Edward Station incident happened is because the the police kicked all journalists off the platform, which is not a difficult thing to do with their resources if they have the intention to do it. But like tonight, clearing out hundreds of journalists in several streets, I don’t believe that there was no premeditation or deployment.
Journalists being targeted and brutalised by police is nothing new. But what happened tonight appears to be a premeditated and deployed effort by the police to create a black hole for reporting and documenting, like in the 831 incident.

• Within 10 - 15 minutes, the area around Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Shan Tung Street, Tung Choi Street and Fa Yuen Street were completely cordoned off by police and all those present were arrested, while a large number of journalists were stopped and "targeted". • After the police started their operation, apart from those who targeted citizens, it seems like there was also a group of police who purposefully “subdued” and “dispersed” the journalists: those who could be kicked away, pushed away and sprayed away were dispersed, and those who couldn’t be dispersed due to the large number of journalists were demanded to sit down and turn their live streaming off. • After being surrounded by the police, a number of journalists were demanded to retreat so far back that they couldn’t film the police’s actions at all. • Given the large number of police on the scene and the strategic targeting of journalists, there was a part of Mong Kok where no one knew what happened, and how arrestees were treated. The reason why the 831 Prince Edward Station incident happened is because the the police kicked all journalists off the platform, which is not a difficult thing to do with their resources if they have the intention to do it.
