[ Rigged System ] Aftermath of Historical District Council Landslide Victory: Home Affairs Department Override District Council Anyway; Councillors said Government is Extremely Disrespectful

(Editor's Note: It is not only benefiting developers and wasting taxpayers money, but also showing the world it means nothing that we won the previous election. 90% of the residents opposed to the construction; councillors voted "no"; but the corrupt practice goes on anyway.)

The motion of suspending the construction of the 53-million musical fountain was passed with 28 votes in favour and no objection in the first council meeting. However, the Home Affairs Department insisted on carrying out the project according to the contract as the budget was passed in Legislative Council Public Works Team in Nov 2018. It will continue to carry out the project according to the agreement and report to the District Council.

Hong Kong police arrested man who put up protest poster related to Chinese president Xi Jinping

(24 Apr) What is wrong with the Hong Kong police? We can’t mock Xi Jinping? They can arrest someone for just (legally) putting posters on a bulletin board?

When the police saw the “king of viruses Chinese president Xi Jinping” poster, they lost their temper, surrounded and shouted at the man, he was eventually arrested.

At around 3pm, several men put up posters on the District Office’s bulletin board (i.e. the Lennon Wall in Kwun Tong) at Tung Yan Street near MTR Exit A in Kwun Tong Hong Kong, showing Rebel Pepper's "King of Viruses Xi Jinping", a mockery of Xi Jinping's cover-up of COVID-19, which ultimately became a global disaster.

It's legal to put up posters on bulletin boards. However, when an emergency unit vehicle arrived at the scene, a group of police got out and surrounded the men. A policeman lost his temper and verbally abused one of the men repeatedly: “Shut the fuck up”, “Fucking moron”, “Cockroach”, “Look at me”, “Go to Sun uk ling (holding center)” etc.

The incident aroused citizens to gather around and film with their phones, and the police verbally abused the onlookers as well. Not long after, a large group of police arrived for reinforcement, and brought several onlookers behind the defense line for investigation.

A telemarketer who was disgraced by the police came forward to the scene for support, but got intercepted by the police. Many emergency unit vehicles arrived at the scene later and around 20 police went on stand-by. The atmosphere was tense at one point. At around 4pm, the citizens who were intercepted and the man who posted on the wall were taken to the police station. Other police left after covering the posters with black plastic bags.

The police later said they had received a report from a citizen that there were people sticking posters in the above address. They went to the scene for investigation and arrested a man. The case is on hold for police assistance.

It’s not on the horizon, It’s happening.
