☀️🏠The European Fund provides a grant for “solar roofs” in #Cyprus

☑️The first project which was funded by the European Fund in Cyprus after the pandemic is the installation of solar collectors on roofs.

☑️The state grants for the replacement of the old roof and the installation of new solar collectors were granted earlier. The amount of the grant until today is approximately 1.000 euro. 17.000 houses in Cyprus have already been insured with solar energy. According to the ministry, families of low income and more than 1.000 households have received grants within 2020.

📊The duty of the government is to increase these ratios per 3-4 times and cover the 50% of all the residencies in Cyprus.

✈Three days in quarantine for everyone who enters Greece | Other changes

🔔The official representative of Greek Government, Stelios Petsas, along with the Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis, mentioned the changes in the operation of the market in the country during the New Year Holiday period. 📣Legislation amendments for Financially Independent Residence Permit

📍Pursuant to L. 4686/2020, which was voted and is valid from April 2020, significant changes and amendments emerged for Greek immigration legislation. More specifically, pursuant to Article 38 of the new Law, the 20th article of Immigration Code (L. 4251/2014) was amended, regarding Financially Independent Residence Permits. 

🎯The most significant change for the applicants and holders of this specific permit seems to be in paragraph 4, which mentions that “Absence periods from the country do not impede the renewal of the residence permit, as long as they do not exceed six months per year”. Therefore, an obligation to stay in the country for six (6) months to renew the Financially Independent Residence Permit appears to be an important addition of the new legislation.

In October-December last year, the rent for private houses increased by 1.7%, and for apartments - by 1%. It was profitable to rent retail spaces though during this period: average prices decreased by 1.3% for warehouses and by 1.4% for offices. Rents for leisure real estate have also increased: the increase was 1.5% and 2% for apartments and private houses, respectively.

🇨🇾Talking about the indicators for the whole year, here the growth trends remain in proportions of 2% for apartments, 0.4% for households, 0.9% for holiday properties. Rates for the rent of retail spaces decreased over the year by 5.5%, offices - by 6.7%, warehouses - by 3.2%, boarding houses - by 1.4%.

More specifically, during the mentioned period (11 hours on July 20), the electricity consumption will surge to 9956 MW, threatening to exceed the critical threshold of 10000 MW. However, half an hour later, at 13:30, the consumption will decrease to 9911 MW.
