Unlike gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn which consist of 80% hydrogen in mass, ice giants like Uranus and Neptune consist of only about 20% hydrogen. Other ingredients are mainly ‘ices’, which refers to volatile chemical compounds with freezing points above about 100 K, such as water, ammonia, or methane.
