🌋 On Saturday, May 3, 2025, at approximately 6:12 PM local time, continued explosive activity was observed at Mount Marapi on the island of Sumatra. According to the Darwin Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre (VAAC), an ash plume rose to an altitude of up to 12,000 feet (around 3,700 meters), corresponding to flight level FL120.

📊The ash cloud is moving eastward at a speed of about 10 knots. Monitoring of the activity is ongoing.
