To place the release of Avowed into perspective, here are some other release numbers (some are outdated and even greater now).
15 600 players is nothing — lower than Pathfinder games, lower than Rogue Trader. Despite those games are kinda niche.

And since the production of physical copies and media materials takes time, cover arts, some videos, and screenshots were found on the official website of the developer Virtous Games.
It seems that they are trying to keep it close to the original art direction, which is impressive. But they completely messed up with color correction — the game is now significantly warmer, like a PS3 era filter is on top of everything.

In just an hour The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered reached over 76K concurrent players on Steam, despite being a 120GB game which was released right after the announcement.
