The ruling on one who does not pray except for Friday prayers.

❍ • The Allâmah AbdulAziz ibn Bâz may Allâh have mercy upon him:

Ques☟tion:

📤There is a man who prays the Friday prayers only, without praying the rest of the obligatory prayers. Is his prayers accepted?

Ans☟wer:

📥 His prayers are not accepted, because of that he has become a disbeliever through this. So his Friday prayers, his fasting and all the rest of his actions are invalid.

{But if they had joined in worship others with Allah, all that they used to do would have been of no benefit to them} (Surah Al-Anaam 88)

{And whosoever disbelieves in the Oneness of Allâh and in all the other Articles of Faith [i.e. His (Allâh's), Angels, His Holy Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], then fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers} (Surah Al-Mâeda 5)

So whoever disbelieves a major disbelief or a major shirk, then all his actions are fruitless. We ask Allâh for Al-'Aâfiyah, and leaving off the obligatory prayers is a major kufr.

Breaking The Fast As Soon As The Sun Sets [The Sunnah Of Fasting]

Sa’eed Ibnul-Musayyib, may Allaah have mercy upon him, reports from his father,

“I was once sitting with ʿUmar when a group of people arrived from Ash-Shaam. ʿUmar enquired about them and how they were; he asked, ‘Do the people of Ash-Shaam hasten to break the fast.’ He said, ‘Yes.’ [ʿUmar] said, ‘They will not cease to remain upon good as long as they do this, and do not wait for the stars [to come out] as the people of Iraaq do.’”

[ʿAbdur-Razzaaq As-San’aanee, Al-Musannaf, 4:225]

‘Amr Ibn Maymuun Al-Awdee, may Allaah have mercy upon him, reports, “The Companions of Muḥammad – Allaah's peace and blessings be upon him – used to be the quickest to break the fast and the slowest in taking the pre-dawn meal.”

[ʿAbdur-Razzaaq As-San’aanee, Al-Musannaf, Pg. 226]

Ibnul-Musayyib, may Allaah have mercy upon him, also reports that ʿUmar wrote to the commanders of the various regions, ‘Do not be of the procrastinators when breaking the fast, and nor of those who wait for the stars before they start praying [al-maghrib].’

[ʿAbdur-Razzaaq As-San’aanee, Al-Musannaf, Pg. 225]

Muusaa Ibn Anas, may Allaah have mercy upon him, reports that Anas [Ibn Maalik] used to have his slave-girl go to the top of his house, instructing her, ‘When the horizon becomes even (evenly lit, marking sunset), tell me.’

[Ibn Abee Shaybah, Al-Musannaf, 2:430]

Abuu At-Tiyaah Ad-Daba’ee, may Allaah have mercy upon him, reports that “he used to break fast with Ibn ‘Abbaas during Ramadhaan. When evening approached he would send a girl from his household to the roof [to look out], and when the sun set he would make the call to prayer (athaan). He would eat with us, and when he had finished, the call for the commencement of prayer {iqaamah) would be given, and he would pray, and we would pray with him.”

[Ibn Abee Shaybah, Al-Musannaf, Pg. 429]

📚Fataawa from the Scholars of Yemen📚

📡 Shaikh Muhammad bin Hizaam (حفظه الله) was asked:

📩 The Question:

Will Allah create a spouse for the women of Jannah who's husbands are from the people of the Fire?

📤 The Response:

What is apparent is that she will  marry another husband from the men of this world that had no wife or one that had a wife. And Allah the Most-High will make from the People of Jannah a number of women and He will marry them to who He wills from amongst the Muslim men of the Jannah.

Concise Words With Great Benefit

From Abuu Hurayrah - may Allaah be pleased with him - who said: "That a man came to the Prophet - sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam - and said: 'O Messenger of Allaah! It was so bad I was bitten by a scorpion last night! The Messenger of Allaah said:

‘If only you had said when the evening approached:

I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allaah from the evil of what He has created.

It would not have done any harm to you.'"

[Collected by Muslim, Abuu Daawud, An-Nisaa'ee, Ibn Maajah, Maalik and At-Tirmithee who made it 'hasan'. Shaykh Al-Albaanee authenticated it in 'Saheeh Targheeb Wat-Tarheeb' Vol.1, No. 652, Pg. 412]

From Khawlah bint Hakeem As-Sulamiyyah, may Allaah be pleased with her, who said, "I heard the Messenger of Allaah - salallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam - saying:

'Whoever stops at a place on his journey and then says:

I seek refuge in the perfect Words of Allaah from the evil of what He has created.

Nothing will harm him until he leaves that place.'"

[Collected by Muslim, Abuu Daawud, At-Tirmithee, and Ahmad. Shaykh Al-Albaanee authenticated it in 'Saheeh Jaamia' As-Sagheer' Vol.1, No. 6567, Pg.1118]

Ash-Shaykh 'Abdur-Razzaaq Al-Badr, may Allaah preserve him, said:

"Nothing whatsoever harms him, because he has been protected by Allaah’s protection. However, this supplication is conditional just like all other supplications in that it is necessary to have the correct intention, to have good trust in Allaah, 'Azza wa Jal, and that a person should be regular in reading this supplication, in every place that he may stop in."

An Encouragement Upon Salatul-Fajr In The Masjid

Its been (authentically) reported by Buraydah Ibnul-Haseeb Al-Aslamee, that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

"Give glad tidings to those who walk in the darkness to the masaajid that they shall recieve a complete light on the Day of Judgement."

[Sunan Abee Daawud, No. 561. Sunan At-Tirmithee, No. 223. Authenticated by Shaykh Al-Albaanee]

At-Teebi, may Allaah have mercy upon him, said concerning this Hadeeth in 'Awnul-Ma'buud' (explanation of Sunan Abee Daawud):

"The description of a complete light on the Day of Judgement is an indication of the Statement of Allaah:

(Interpretation of the meaning):

"On the Day you shall see the believing men and the believing women their light running forward before them and by their right hands. Glad tidings for you this Day! Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever! Truly, this is the great success!"

[Al-Quraan 57:12]

Al-Ayni, may Allaah have mercy upon him, mentioned regarding this Hadeeth in his explanation to Sunan Abee Daawud:

"In it is an encouragement and a motivation in much walking to the masaajid of Allaah in the darkness of nights and glad tidings that their reward will be a continuous light on the Day of Judgement since they used to walk in darkness."

Ibn Rajab, may Allaah have mercy upon him, mentioned in his explanation of Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree, in the chapter of the virtues of prayer in congregation:

"Walking to the masaajid of Allaah at these two times (fajr & 'ishaa) are the most difficult due to what they entail from walking in darkness. For this reason the glad tidings of a complete light on the Day of Judgement has been reported."

The Virtue Of The People Of Knowledge

Allaah says:

Allaah bears witness that none has the right to be worshipped but He, and the Angels, and those having knowledge (also give this witness); (He is always) maintaining His creation in Justice. None has the right to be worshipped but He, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

[Al-Quraan 3:18]

Al-Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim, may Allaah have mercy upon him, mentioned:

The Verse proves the virtue of the people of knowledge from four angles:

1) Allaah cited their testimony over everyone else from His creation,

2) Allaah tied their testimony to His Testimony,

3) Allaah tied their testimony to that of the Angels,

4) The fact Allaah cited their testimony proves their integrity, truthfulness and piety.

The One Who Has The Determination To Forsake Sinning In Ramadhaan Alone Has Not Fully Repented

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allaah have mercy upon him:

The one who has the determination to forsake sinning in the month of Ramadhaan and no other month has not fully made tawbah (repentance). Rather, he has forsaken sinning in the month of Ramadhaan. He will be rewarded if he abandoned (sinning) for Allaah and by way of exalting the symbols of Allaah (i.e. the month of Ramadhaan) and avoiding what He has made impermissible in that time, but he is not from those who has made tawbah and will be forgiven entirely.

Fasting is patience in obeying Allaah, patience in keeping away from the things forbidden by Allaah, and patience in bearing the Decree of Allaah, hunger, thirst, physical and mental weakness. So it combines all three types of patience, thus the fasting person deserves to be counted as one of the patient, and Allaah says (Interpretation of the meaning):

"...Only those who are patient shall receive their reward in full, without reckoning."
