CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis Tweets:

Hon PM Modi Ji’s inspiring leadership and insightful guidance has reaffirmed our commitment to the path of public welfare, inclusive growth, and sustainable progress.

Extended my heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to the valiant Indian Armed Forces and our visionary leader, Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji for the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’. This operation once again reinforces our Hon PM’s unwavering resolve and zero tolerance policy towards terrorism.

In line with national objectives, the Government of Maharashtra is formulating a 3-phased Vision Plan titled ‘Maharashtra 2047’. We commenced a 100-day governance programme focusing on citizen-centric initiatives and accountability, during which over 700 targets were achieved across departments.
🔸 We have now launched an extended 150-day programme, shaping a vision for:
2047 – a long-term national vision,
2035 – aligned with Maharashtra’s Amrit Mahotsav, and
2029 – a short-term 5-year roadmap with annual targets.

Our primary goal is to elevate Maharashtra’s economy to $1 trillion by 2030, and further to $5 trillion by 2047.
🔸 Through our New Industrial Policy, we aim to raise the manufacturing sector’s contribution to over 20% of GSDP.
🔸 We have launched ‘MAITRI 2.0’, a single-window clearance system, while encouraging emerging sectors such as EVs, semiconductors, green hydrogen, and data centres.

Maharashtra attracted the highest FDI in the country in Q1 of 2024–25, totalling ₹1.39 lakh crore. At Davos World Economic Forum, MoUs worth ₹15.96 lakh crore were signed, and nearly 50% are already under implementation, particularly in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

Our focus remains on accelerated development through infrastructure, reforms and employment generation. Projects like Samruddhi Mahamarg, Atal Setu and Coastal Road are driving this transformation.
🔸 Grateful to Hon PM Modi Ji for supporting major projects such as Vadhavan Port, Navi Mumbai International Airport, Metro Rail, and Multimodal Logistic Parks.

Under NITI Aayog’s guidance, we are developing the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) as a growth hub, aiming for a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047. We seek special financial assistance from the Centre for this purpose.
🔸 In our endeavour to spur industrial growth in emerging cities:
Gadchiroli is being developed as a Steel City,
Nagpur as a Defence Hub,
Amravati as a Textile Cluster,
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar for EV manufacturing,
AURIC City and a Smart Industrial City in Dighi (Raigad) are also underway.

We have introduced progressive policies for IT, exports, logistics, AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics), and Global Capability Centres, giving a strong push to the service sector.

Over 60 lakh MSMEs in Maharashtra are registered on the national portal – the highest in India. Initiatives like Ease of Doing Business and the CM’s Employment Generation Programme have benefited over 2 lakh entrepreneurs.

In Mumbai, through the WAVE Summit, we signed MoUs worth ₹5,000 crore for 2 international studios. Major developments include:
🔸 Establishment of IICCT,
🔸 Launch of the WAVES Index on NSE,
🔸 Collaborations with the University of York and University of Western Australia.
🔸 To nurture startups and innovation, we are building an Innovation City.
🔸 A robust ecosystem focusing on AI, Green Energy, Biotech, Fintech, Agritech, and Smart Manufacturing is being created.
🔸 PPP models have been approved to bring world-class skill training to rural ITIs.
Maharashtra has signed energy purchase agreements for an additional 45,500 MW, of which 36,000 MW is green energy. By 2030, 52% of the state’s power will come from renewable sources.
Under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, projects totalling 16,000 MW across 10,000 agri-feeders have begun, with 1,400 MW already operational. By December 2026, all agriculture power supply will be daytime and solar-based.

The Solar Village Scheme has launched in 100 villages, with 15 already fully solarised.

A new policy for pumped storage projects (PSPs) has been introduced. We’ve signed 15 agreements for 45 PSPs, totalling 62,125 MW, attracting ₹3.42 lakh crore in investment and creating over 96,000 jobs.

To support environmental sustainability, we are promoting a circular economy and developing specialised recycling parks for e-waste, plastics, textiles, metals, and automobiles. With the Nashik Kumbh Mela scheduled for 2027, we look forward to guidance and financial assistance from the Centre.

Thanking our leader Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji Once again for conferring ‘Classical Language’ status to Marathi – a matter of pride for all of us.
Maharashtra stands ready, in full capacity, to contribute towards the ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ mission. We are committed to realising a vision of development and heritage in partnership with the Union Government and fellow states.
