Accelerating Health Infrastructure Development in Nagpur!

Inaugurated various projects at the Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur.

The State Government has allocated a fund of ₹1000 crore to upgrade the services and infrastructure at both the Government Medical College and Hospital, and Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital to a state-of-the-art standard, addressing the lack of modern facilities and systems for improved education and patient care.

If Government medical colleges lack world-class infrastructure, they may fall behind private medical colleges or universities in today’s competitive environment. Government institutions offer unmatched clinical exposure, but if infrastructure is neglected, their overall standard declines. In this context, facilities like auditoriums, skywalks, sports amenities, cath labs, and robotic surgery units have been developed, with several other works currently underway.

Also asked to complete ongoing works within a year so that the medical college can start serving the people. We will also take decisions to set up dedicated facilities for Sickle Cell and Thalassemia projects, along with a Bone Marrow Transplant unit. I also emphasised that the construction work of the Dental College must be completed swiftly.

MoS Ashish Jaiswal, MLA Pravin Datke, MLA Krishna bhau Khopde, MLC Sandip Joshi, MLC Abhijit Wanjarri and other dignitaries were present.

Partnering for Progress: Rural & Agricultural Development in Focus! 🌾

Chaired a review meeting of 'Maharashtra’s Rural Development and Agriculture Department' along with Hon Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ji at Nagpur.

Hon Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ji directed the development of high-yielding crop varieties for low rainfall areas and the creation of best cropping practices for the State. He also instructed to showcase the success stories of Maharashtra’s progressive farmers across the country.

We jointly reviewed progress of key Rural Development schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, JANMAN, Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, and MNREGA, and expressed satisfaction over the work of MNREGA.

Under the 'Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana', women have received financial support. Additionally, we announced the target to empower one crore women to become self-reliant under the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative.

Minister Manikrao Kokate, Minister Jaykumar Gore, MoS Ashish Jaiswal and the senior officials from the Central and State Government were present.
