Mumbai on the Move: Smarter, Faster, Easier!
Delighted to inaugurate the 'Bus Route Information on Google Maps' system in Mantralaya, Mumbai.
Travel in Mumbai is now set to become more convenient and smarter. Thanks to the collaboration between the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking and Google, real-time information about BEST buses will now be available on Google Maps. This valuable service is designed to save passengers' time and ensure a smoother commuting experience.
Passengers can now easily check which bus will be available at what time to reach their destination, along with its exact arrival time. This partnership between BEST and Google Maps marks a significant step towards enhancing the quality of public transport services in Mumbai.
The service is also available in Marathi and Hindi. It is expected that this facility will lead to an increase in the number of BEST commuters. Clear instructions have been issued to display detailed information about this service at every bus stop, ensuring that passengers can make the most of it.
DCM Eknath Shinde ji and other officials were present.

Historic Collaboration: Bringing World-Class Mining Education to Maharashtra!
Delighted to witness the signing and exchange of MoU between Gondwana University, Gadchiroli and the globally renowned Curtin University of Australia to launch various 3 year diploma courses in mining.
This marks the second MoU being signed within a week with an esteemed Australian university. Just last week, during the WAVES 2025 event, we formalised an MoU with the University of Australia to explore the establishment of its campus in Navi Mumbai. The visionary New Education Policy introduced by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji, has truly opened the doors of global knowledge to India.
Leveraging the New Education Policy, we have initiated the Mumbai Education and University City (MEUC) in Navi Mumbai. This global-standard campus aims to host at least 12 top-ranking international universities. MEUC is envisioned to become a hub of excellence for 80,000–100,000 students.
What makes today truly special is our focus on taking world-class education to one of Maharashtra’s most historically underdeveloped regions—Gadchiroli. Gondwana University, under strong leadership, has demonstrated remarkable progress in just 12 years. Its latest partnership with Curtin University will boost research, talent development, and industrial relevance—strengthening both Gadchiroli and India’s mining and metallurgy sectors.
This collaboration will transform Gondwana University into a centre of excellence in mining, metallurgy, and related fields, producing highly skilled professionals for both Gadchiroli and India at large. For the first time, a top-ranked international university is joining hands with a state university to bring global education directly to Gadchiroli.
Hon Governor CP Radhakrishnan ji, Minister Chandrakant Dada Patil, Australian Consulate General, Mumbai Mr Paul Murphy, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University, Prof. Mark Ogden, Vice-Chancellor of Gondwana University, Dr. Prashant Bokare, MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar, MLC Parinay Fuke and other dignitaries were present.
