Update from Syria: Turkey's President Erdogan had warned that Turkey will have no choice but to resort to a new ground offensive into Northern Syria to establish the 30km buffer zones between the Turkey-Syria border from any Kurdish forces operating in Syria.

Russia had reacted by opening negotiations with the Kurdish-majority Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in a bid to convince them to withdraw in order to deescalate the situation with Turkey.

United States also responded by conducting joint border patrols in the NE parts of Syria with the SDF in order to prevent Turkish strikes on the SDF patrols.

While the situation is developing, Turkish forces along with the Syrian National Army (SNA) continue to exchange artillery shelling in the frontline around the Allepo region.

In order for you understand things easier when you watch DPA's future coverage in the region - its probably useful to get to know the general situation over here in the Levant.

Levant is the region stretching from Egypt (some say Libya) all the way through Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Cyprus. (some say Greece too), ends with Iraq (and may include bits of Iran).

Hope this would be helpful for you to be up to date of the situation and will aid you in following the coverage of the Levant region.
