Donโt you just love the Scriptures? Think about what weโve just read in Romans 8:6: It says that if youโre carnally minded, it leads to death. However, if youโre spiritually-minded, youโll experience life and peace. Itโs a simple scripture but absolutely profound! Being carnally-minded means you set your mind on things of the flesh, while being spiritually minded means you set your mind on things of the Spirit.
Being spiritually or carnally minded is about the work of your mind, where you focus your attention. Carnally-minded people only respond to the things of this world; theyโre ruled by the flesh. So, examine your life; are you living in agitation? Is your life devoid of peace? When people are flustered, distraught, disturbed, and confused, itโs because theyโre not spiritually minded.

The Word is clear: when youโre spiritually minded, youโll have life and peace. Your focus then, at all times, should be on Godโs Word and the eternal realities of the Kingdom. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).
Before the physical manifestation of the glory, success, victory, prosperity, and progress that you desire in life, you must see it first within you. Once you can see it from within, then itโs yours. Itโs called โseeing the unseen.โ You can never have it on the outside if you didnโt first have it within.

Thatโs where some have missed it. They want to see first with their physical eyes before calling it real; thatโs not faith. Faith is calling real that which the physical senses canโt perceive.
For example, God said to Abraham, โNeither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made theeโฆโ (Genesis 17:5-6). Abraham first had to see himself as the father of many nations. At the time God spoke to him, he was ninety-nine years old, and Sarah his wife, apart from reaching menopause was barren.
Nevertheless, the Bible says, โHe staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to Godโ (Romans 4:20). The Lord had said to him, โโฆLook now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: andโฆSo shall thy seed beโ (Genesis 15:5). Abraham believed. He saw the picture of his uncountable descendantsโnumerous7 as the starsโfrom within.

When you study the Scriptures, learn to do so with pictures; see with the eyes of your spirit; believe and act accordingly. Donโt wait until you โseeโ the physical manifestation. You have to take possession in the spirit, and with your spirit, first, because itโs more real in the spirit-realm.
Realize that itโs the blessings your spirit take a hold of, and which you affirm with your mouth, thatโll manifest in your life. Therefore, see your victory, prosperity, health, peace, progress, and success from within, and affirm accordingly.

The challenge some Christians face when they are confronted with trying situations is knowing what to say. Even when they know what the Bible has said concerning their peculiar situation, they seem to be overwhelmed because theyโre not focusing on the Word.

Therefore, rather than voice their faith they voice their situations. For example, thereโre folks who would say, โIโve been sick since last weekโ or โIโve been so broke for three weeks.โ Then, thereโre others who have graduated from this first level and would rather say, โIโve been feeling sick since last weekโ or โIโve not had money for a long time.โ
The problem with these two classes of people is pretty much the same: theyโve taken upon themselves the responsibility of saying what theyโre experiencing, instead of speaking the Word of God.
God never said you should describe your experiences, or narrate how you feel. He already said in His Word that the things you perceive with your senses are temporal; that means theyโre subject to change (2 Corinthians 4:18). So you donโt have to talk about them; instead, you effect a change by declaring what the Word says concerning you in the midst of that trouble.

Sometimes when you have a matter to settle or you desire a change in a situation you donโt have full jurisdiction over, you have to continue in prayer until that change comes. Now this doesnโt negate faith nor mean youโre unbelieving. Actually, the reason you choose not to give up or shift grounds is because youโre acting your faith.
Many are too used to praying โemergency prayersโ that donโt work. They wait until the pressure mounts and then start pushing panic-buttons and praying fast prayers for fast answers. But Elijah knew better. We read in our opening scripture what he did when he wanted a miracle: he cast himself down upon the earth and put his head between his knees, praying heartfelt, continued prayer (1 Kings 18:42-44). He prayed until he got a miracle.

This is what many in the Church today arenโt doing. Years ago, Christians were taught to be earnest and persistent in prayer, but the more they learned the Word of faith, the more some drifted away from the message of prayer. But to effective, you must have the two together: the Word of faith and earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer.
You must have the willingness to pray with all your heart and continue in prayer until you have the note of victory in your spirit. You might ask, โBut when do I stop?โ You stop when you โknow that you knowโ in your spirit (not in your head) that itโs done! Remember, this is different from the prayer of faith, where you pray only once and donโt have to go back again about the same thing.

Sometimes when you have a matter to settle or you desire a change in a situation you donโt have full jurisdiction over, you have to continue in prayer until that change comes. Now this doesnโt negate faith nor mean youโre unbelieving. Actually, the reason you choose not to give up or shift grounds is because youโre acting your faith.
Many are too used to praying โemergency prayersโ that donโt work. They wait until the pressure mounts and then start pushing panic-buttons and praying fast prayers for fast answers. But Elijah knew better. We read in our opening scripture what he did when he wanted a miracle: he cast himself down upon the earth and put his head between his knees, praying heartfelt, continued prayer (1 Kings 18:42-44). He prayed until he got a miracle.

This is what many in the Church today arenโt doing. Years ago, Christians were taught to be earnest and persistent in prayer, but the more they learned the Word of faith, the more some drifted away from the message of prayer. But to effective, you must have the two together: the Word of faith and earnest, heartfelt, continued prayer.
You must have the willingness to pray with all your heart and continue in prayer until you have the note of victory in your spirit. You might ask, โBut when do I stop?โ You stop when you โknow that you knowโ in your spirit (not in your head) that itโs done! Remember, this is different from the prayer of faith, where you pray only once and donโt have to go back again about the same thing.
