Nehemiah 8:10 âThen he said to them, âGo your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.â
Some people never laugh unless theyâre listening to some jokes by a comedian. A comedian may say or do some funny things to make you laugh, but all that is transient; real joy is from inside you. Having received the Holy Spirit, God expects you to generate delight and excitement from within. The latter part of our opening verse says, ââŠthe joy of the Lord is your strength.â This is not the kind of joy you feel when you receive a gift or when your expectations come through. It is the joy of the Lord, and it comes from the Holy Spirit; it comes from the Word. Youâve got to express it, because, as you do, the power is released and your challenges bow.
Psalm 2:4 GNB says, in reference to Godâs enemies, âFrom his throne in heaven the Lord laughs and mocks their feeble plans.â This is how God expects us to respond to challenges and daunting situationsâwith a long, loud laugh! This is a strategy of the Spirit. As the challenges mount, step aside and laugh out loud! As you laugh, the challenges will begin to crumble by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Greek word translated âknowledgeâ in the scripture above is âepignosis.â It means full, exact or precise knowledge. God wants all men to be saved and to come to the full, exact or precise knowledge of the truth. If this werenât possible, He wouldnât have said so. This is His desire.
Itâs also the reason He set ministers and ministries in place as gifts to the Church: âAnd he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christâ (Ephesians 4:11-13).
God wants you built up and established in the Word until you come to such a high level of faith and knowledge of the Son of Godâmature and fully grown in the Lord. LETâS TALK
Some versions of Hebrews 5:13 use words like âdoctrineâ and âteachingâ instead of âword.â However, whatâs being communicated in this verse is much higher; the phrase âword of righteousnessâ is âlogos dikaiosuneââ (Greek), which, in fact, means âspeaking righteousnessâ or a communication of righteousness.
To further understand this, weâll examine how Jesus responded when He was tempted by Satan in Matthew 4: He quoted Scriptures each time but not as one who was responding from the standpoint of the Law. For example, when the Bible says, âYou shall not stealâ (Exodus 20:15), it was written to Israel as one of the commandments. But when you become a Christian, âYou shall not stealâ isnât applicable to you! It doesnât apply to you because of your recreated spirit. Does that mean you can steal? Of course not! In Christianity, you have a nature that doesnât steal.

Youâre of the higher class. You donât live by the Law or commandments because the Bible says, ââŠThe law is not made for a righteous personâŠâ (1 Timothy 1:9). So, when the Lord Jesus said to Satan, â...It is written, âMan shall not live by bread alone...ââ (Matthew 4:4), He was describing His life; it was a description of His righteousness. Hallelujah!
Always, God expects you to respond with the Word as Jesus did. Itâs not just about memorising the Scriptures so you can quote them; itâs about speaking righteousness and communicating in line with your new nature in Christâwho you are in Him.
Sometimes, in responding with the Word, the scripture youâre quoting might not be verbatim, but youâre aware that what youâre saying is consistent with Godâs Word; the message goes to your spirit in the language of the Spirit. Some versions of Hebrews 5:13 use words like âdoctrineâ and âteachingâ instead of âword.â However, whatâs being communicated in this verse is much higher; the phrase âword of righteousnessâ is âlogos dikaiosuneââ (Greek), which, in fact, means âspeaking righteousnessâ or a communication of righteousness.
To further understand this, weâll examine how Jesus responded when He was tempted by Satan in Matthew 4: He quoted Scriptures each time but not as one who was responding from the standpoint of the Law. For example, when the Bible says, âYou shall not stealâ (Exodus 20:15), it was written to Israel as one of the commandments. But when you become a Christian, âYou shall not stealâ isnât applicable to you! It doesnât apply to you because of your recreated spirit. Does that mean you can steal? Of course not! In Christianity, you have a nature that doesnât steal.

Youâre of the higher class. You donât live by the Law or commandments because the Bible says, ââŠThe law is not made for a righteous personâŠâ (1 Timothy 1:9). So, when the Lord Jesus said to Satan, â...It is written, âMan shall not live by bread alone...ââ (Matthew 4:4), He was describing His life; it was a description of His righteousness. Hallelujah!
Always, God expects you to respond with the Word as Jesus did. Itâs not just about memorising the Scriptures so you can quote them; itâs about speaking righteousness and communicating in line with your new nature in Christâwho you are in Him.
Sometimes, in responding with the Word, the scripture youâre quoting might not be verbatim, but youâre aware that what youâre saying is consistent with Godâs Word; the message goes to your spirit in the language of the Spirit. When you respond to Satan and lifeâs challenges like that, youâll always be victorious! Praise God!

Dieu veut que vous soyez édifiés et établis dans la Parole, jusqu'à ce que vous atteigniez un niveau élevé de foi et de connaissance du Fils de Dieu, c'est-à -dire que vous soyez mûrs et pleinement épanouis dans le Seigneur. Au fur et à mesure que vous vous développez en Christ et dans les choses de l'Esprit, et que vous croissez dans la connaissance de la révélation de la Parole, vous êtes capable de dompter les circonstances et de vivre au-dessus des éléments de ce monde.

Lorsque vous aurez une connaissance précise de la vérité - la vérité sur Christ et sur ce qu'il a fait pour vous et en vous - votre vie sera un flot incessant de paix, de joie et de victoires. Apprenez à connaître la vérité.
Par exemple, le Psaume 87:3 dit, «Des choses glorieuses ont été dites sur toi, Ville de Dieu!» Puis, dans le Psaume 50:2, la Bible dit, «De Sion, beauté parfaite, Dieu resplendit.» Alléluia! Dieu brille à travers vous, pas le cancer, le diabÚte, l'insuffisance rénale, la pauvreté ou toute autre négativité du monde. Vous êtes la perfection de la beauté.
Lorsque vous vous tenez devant le miroir, regardezvous et dites: «Je sais qui je suis; Celui qui est en moi est plus grand que celui qui est dans le monde. Ma vie est pour la gloire de Dieu parce que Christ vit en moi». Ãtablissezvous dans ces vérités. Alléluia!
