What if the sun ☀️was half as big?
1. The sun's ☀️temperature, color and diameter are determined by its mass. Bigger stars ✨are hotter 🔥and bluer than the whitish-yellow sun, while smaller stars are cooler and redder.
2. The sun ☀️would be what we call a "Red Dwarf" And the habitable zone might be is debatable. Smaller stars ✨produce more frequent blasts of radiation 💥called flares, which would bombard close-in planets.
3. The habitable zone would shift closer to the star; if the Earth 🌏 orbited at the same distance, our water 💦would freeze ❄️solid.

What if the sun ☀️was smaller than the Earth 🌏?
1. If, hypothetically, the Sun ☀️was smaller than the Earth 🌏, our solar system would look completely different. The bad news is, the Earth 🌏would be uninhabitable, and the Sun ☀️… well, this massive star ⭐️may no longer be a star ⭐️
2. Since the Sun ☀️is the source of gravity that keeps us in orbit, all planets, the Earth 🌏included, would float away into space in search of another anchor.

Say cheese! 📸
Yesterday, NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory caught the Sun "smiling." Seen in ultraviolet light, these dark patches on the Sun are known as coronal holes and are regions where fast solar wind gushes out into space.
While the ‘smiling Sun’ certainly makes for a fascinating picture and a remarkable phenomenon, experts say it could spell trouble for the Earth.
These coronal holes are sending a stream of solar wind towards the Earth. Because of that, there is a chance a solar storm could hit the Earth on Saturday (October 29).
