James Webb Space Telescope's new image of the Cartwheel Galaxy, which is about 500 million light years away from us

The first photo is the combined data from two James Webb sensors, NIRCam and MIRI. The second picture shows only the information taken from the NIRCam sensor.

James Webb Space Telescope's images of the king of our solar system, Jupiter.

With giant storms, powerful winds, auroras, and extreme temperature and pressure conditions, Jupiter has a lot going on. Now, NASAโ€™s James Webb Space Telescope has captured new images of the planet.

This picture I absolute love!

The first simulated image of a black hole calculated with an IBM 7040 computer ysing 1960 punch cards, that's about 32,000 bytes and then hand plotted by french astrophysicist Jean Pierre Luminet in 1978

It's a fact that there are some truly genius people out there in the world despite the 99% of us stupid ones.

Our solar system with their respective astronomical symbols for a tattoo design.

I know a demon summoning tattoo when I see one. ๐Ÿ˜… Nonetheless looking gorgeous.

Aligned planets, with Pluto included.
Thought it was mesmerizing.

Notice how the number of visible stars increases as we move further away from the sun.

Planets in order
1. Mercury
2. Venus
3. Earth
4. Mars
5. Jupiter
6. Saturn
7. Uranus
8. Neptune
9. Pluto

On October 9, astronomers discovered an extremely intense and persistent pulse of high-energy radiation that sent shockwaves to Earth.

A surge of X-rays and gamma rays swept through the solar system triggering detectors on NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope, Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, and Wind spacecraft, among others.

The burst was detected by Orbiting High-energy Monitor Alert Network (OHMAN).

The burst was detected for nearly 10 hours and astronomers believe that the explosion was closer to us.

Scientists have named it GRB 221009A It originated from the direction of the constellation Sagitta

This phenomenal has ionized parts of the Earth's atmosphere and even managed to break some satellites.

Say cheese! ๐Ÿ“ธ

Yesterday, NASAโ€™s Solar Dynamics Observatory caught the Sun "smiling." Seen in ultraviolet light, these dark patches on the Sun are known as coronal holes and are regions where fast solar wind gushes out into space.

While the โ€˜smiling Sunโ€™ certainly makes for a fascinating picture and a remarkable phenomenon, experts say it could spell trouble for the Earth.

These coronal holes are sending a stream of solar wind towards the Earth. Because of that, there is a chance a solar storm could hit the Earth on Saturday (October 29).

The first image you see is the radio waves emitted from a pulsar star's poles [Pic 3] piled line by line. The radio waves are emitted and beaming at Earth every 1.3 seconds but each wave is affected by dust clouds and other space factors leading to some variations everytime.

On 15 June 1979, The rock band Joy Division[Pic 2] turned the image into an album art for their "Unknown Pleasures" album debut.

An 'Internet apocalypse' could ride to Earth with the next solar storm, new research warns

In short, a severe solar storm could plunge the world into an "internet apocalypse" that keeps large swaths of society offline for weeks or months at a time.

Tho very rare of severe solar storms happening it has happened before. And even tho local and regional internet aren't affected, the long undersea internet cables that connect continents are a different story.

These cables are equipped with repeaters to boost the optical signal, spaced at intervals of roughly 30 to 90 miles (50 to 150 kilometers). These repeaters are vulnerable to geomagnetic currents, and entire cables could be made useless if even one repeater goes offline.

On November 12, 1833, there was a meteor shower so intense that it was possible to see up to 100,000 meteors crossing the sky every hour. At the time, many thought it was the end of the world, so much so that it inspired this woodcut by Adolf Vollmy.
