Hume AI
demo.hume.ai

This's dubbed as the first empathetic AI. It's pretty nice tbh. A little more effort in training and it seems nice.

Also my voice is oddly monotone cause I was sick 😅

Preview of OpenAI's Voice Engine
https://openai.com/blog/navigating-the-challenges-and-opportunities-of-synthetic-voices

Voice Engine, a model which uses text input and a single 15-second audio sample to generate natural-sounding speech that closely resembles the original speaker.

BTW Voice Engine is what powers ChatGPT's voice capabilities. The coolest application other than recovering voice from a 15 second sample is translations. Which's basically speaking in a ton of different languages just using your voice.

Just go through the blog and checkout the recording samples.

100k Rabbit R1's pre-ordered. 100k x $200 = $20,000,000 🔥 #Rabbit #R1 #AI @Dagmawi_Babi
I was so tempted to order the Rabbit R1 during it's first announcement and their launch. It got me excited as an AI in a box tool. Plus the design is beautiful.

And yesterday people found out that it runs on Android, so the whole thing can just be an app if they wanted to. Which is no surprise but kinda got that hype out of me
https://www.androidauthority.com/rabbit-r1-is-an-android-app-3438805/

Overall tho, I think they can do epic things with their device and I still think it's a great tool as an AI in a box device. It's much faster and minimal.

Also it's rumored to be using flutter.

@Naklecha released a repo that implements LLAMA3 from scratch -- every matrix multiplication from attention across multiple heads, positional encoding and every other layer in between has been carefully unwrapped & explained.

@DotNetWarrior trained this self driving AI. I thought it was pretty awesome.

The training was running ~20X speed from real-time and it was trained for 12 hours exactly, but it has gained 600hours of expirience, and the AI learnt to navigate around the map and get to it's destination pretty well. 🔥

Plus the video is pretty fun and enjoyable. Great job dude, can't wait to see more. 👏

If you've got some cash and a solid ML project, Lambda is the best place to train your models on for the cheapest price
LambdaLabs.com

They pretty much have the best GPUs you could ever need and an epic support. Plus Andrej Karpathy uses this service.

Finally got access to OneUI 6.1 with all the Galaxy AI features integrated across apps. Honest take, I really like it.

It just well integrated, it doesn't feel like it's in the way of your work, it's just there if you need it. The picture editing AI is pretty amazing and so are the web page summarizer, call translator, note formatter, text editor and more.

This blog got me thinking so much actually. The premise is that any program you write can be a neural network.

TL;DR: Many programs that we write can be embedded in recurrent neural networks (RNNs). For such programs, a trained RNN can perform better than if we write the algorithm by hand, refining it via trial and error. I walk through an example in detail.
