Ibn al-Mubarak (rahimahillah) said:
It used to be that when a man saw something he disliked from his brother, he would advise him privately, and he would be rewarded for his advice and for doing it in private. As for today, if a man sees something he dislikes, he angers his brother and destroys his privacy (reveals his faults and secrets).
