Danone leaves Belarus.

The last subsidiary of @Danone in Belarus, DanoneBel, has filed for liquidation. This became known from the magazine “Justice of Belarus”, @Planbmediaio noted.

Earlier, the famous French manufacturer of yogurts Danone, Activia, Danissimo, etc. had 3 legal entities in Belarus: Danone Shklou, Danone Pruzhany and DanoneBel. Two of them were factories in Pruzhany and Shklou, which the company lost earlier.

In total, according to our data, at least 159 companies have left Belarus or restricted their activities since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Other major food producers include Hesburger, MARS, Papa John’s and others.

20 Ukrainians, 7 Russians, 3 Poles: at least 35 foreign citizens are held in Belarusian prisons for political reasons, @viasna96 reports.

Citizens of Latvia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were also imprisoned for political reasons. They are persecuted for participation in protests, comments in social networks, for sending information to independent media and relatives abroad. Ukrainians are often accused of “espionage”.

The exact number of politically detained foreigners in Belarus is unknown.
