In Turin, a historic showcase of the ACI model of #cooperativism in #talia, the number and weight of #cooperatives has been declining for 10 years now. Cooperativism today is no longer useful for saving an unviable small-scale property model, nor by creating consumer groups and placing a team of managers on top. The cooperativism of our time is all about #Labour, incorporation of #technology and community.

#USA. A part of #feminism is shocked to discover that young people reject #identitarianism - and therefore do not want to call themselves "feminists" - but consider equality between men and women to be a fundamental issue. Apparently, until now, this position, that is, one aligned with #universalism, was considered by identitarian feminism to be a form of misogyny.

#Germany. Hamburg, an example of how, when a #HousingCooperative is not born from a #WorkCooperative, it ends up behaving the same as any other developer... because just like any developer, the direction is set by a group of managers with their own interests. And so now in Hamburg, in the new homes next to the zoo, rents reach €21 per square meter, representing the most expensive rents in the city.

Study by the #University of Milan on the model of Lombard #cooperatives (which are not, for the most part, #workercooperatives and which are the basis of the ICA model).

«There are strong inequalities in access to social benefits [flexible hours, etc.]... In particular, those who earn higher incomes [managers] tend to exploit social benefits more, excluding lower-paid workers».

#France. The margins generated by companies to date have paid for #labour and everything else for the entire year. From today until December 31, the entire margin will go to remunerate #capital. It is a statistical fiction, of course, but it allows us to understand the basic structure of the economy and the difference between an stock company and a #workercooperative.

By the way, this year it is two days earlier than last year.

#Zeitgeist. 923 exhibitors from 52 countries meet at the board game fair in Essen, #Germany, the most important in the world. The market has doubled in the last decade, but this year we have not found any novelties equivalent to the overwhelming arrival of the "escape rooms" of a few years ago.
