#ANNOUNCEMENT #MIRRORS

We have two new mirrors, one in Brussels - Belgium (thanks to the Belnet and Garuda), another in Singapore (thanks to Nico, the dragon tamer).

Update your chaotic-mirrorlist to 20210222-1, and remember to watch out if the update won't get stuck with the suffix .pacnew.
Or, if you prefer to handle it manually: https://aur.chaotic.cx/mirrorlist.txt

(Note: us-wa mirror and Kitsunas' threadripper are offline for maintenance)

(Note: us-wa mirror and Kitsunas' threadripper are still offline, us-wa is being forwarded to the new Utah mirror)
#WARNING #UPDATE

When upgrading to linux-tkg* 5.11 notice that it temporarily does not support bcachefs.
#INTERFERE

electron-ozone was mistakenly tagged as '11.4.0' in AUR, while it was in '11.2.2'.

Now we truly upgraded it to '11.3.0', please force a "downgrade" (that actually is an upgrade).

(Note: us-wa mirror aka Kitsunas' threadripper is offline again — By now, you'll be redirected to the-aus mirror)
Right now we're purging out-of-date linux-tkg builds.

Why are they outdated? both UFSCar's and Kitsunas' building server are currently offline (one moving from centos7 to rhel8, and the other caught in another bcachefs bug). Once they're working again their builds should restart automatically.

We have two new mirrors: A new one in Texas, thanks to XStefen. And the other, that actually has its own CDN, provided by Fosshost, but that only syncs each 4 hours.

Update your chaotic-mirrorlist to 20210317-1, and remember to watch out if the update won't get stuck with the suffix .pacnew.

Chaotic-AUR is temporarily halted as we're currently without building servers.
#ANNOUNCEMENT

We recently looked how the X11 vs Wayland scope is in Linux and decided that, it's not worth fighting for. Linux is not worth your time. Thinking of that we just pushed chaotic-windows in repos. An electron-based windows-distribution, where we'll be investing all our time and focus.

How to migrate:
sudo pacman -Sy
sudo powerpill -Su chaotic-windows
env windows95

NOTE: It does not support Wayland nor Pipewire right now

#UPDATE

We got one of those back, so we're back to hourly builds! Package adoption is still slow as we don't have 100% of our processing power back.
#ANNOUNCEMENT #INTERRUPTION

Our database got corrupt in a Btrfs bug. It will take some time to re-index all packages. We hope to have it back to normal in 5 hrs.
