Hiring children’s educators (freelance)
By the Academy of Classical Chinese Culture
https://www.classicalchineseculture.com/pages/kids

Can you use a game of Hershey’s chocolates to teach the “Bromance of the Three Kingdoms”?

Or bring to life Confucius’ Analects through a soundscape and obstacle course?

How about helping children discover the 2,000-year-old legend of Guan Yin via role play and origami?

At our Academy, we use drama education to pass Chinese legends to the next generation so they are not lost. We believe the traditional life values embodied in these ancient tales, literature and philosophies are just as important, if not more so, in the fast-paced and globalised world our children are growing up in.

Our workshops are non-religious and conducted in Chinese for ages 5 to 10 at partner venues such as studios, co-working spaces, and the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre.

We are looking for bilingual freelancers to join us in our work.

If you are interested, pls view the Statement of Work here: https://bit.ly/3TNyYys

To apply, pls email your resume or Linkedin URL to
hello@classicalchineseculture.com.

Set up 2 years ago with support from the National Heritage Board’s Organisation Transformation Grant, the Academy is the contemporary education arm of one of Singapore’s oldest heritage businesses, Say Tian Hng Buddha Shop (www.saytianhng.com), established in 1896. It is part of the efforts of the 4th-generation of the family of local artisans to preserve and reinvent the business.

The Academy has since been featured on Channel Newsasia, Channel 8 and Agence France-Presse.

We thank you for your interest and support, and regret that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
