Not an exclusive phenomenon to other jihadist groups, every extremist ideology thought is destined to fragment "No one tightens his commitment to religion, religion will prevail over him."
Since its establishment until 2013, its unifying identity that attracted the elements was its affiliation to Al-Qaeda. During this period, the percentage of ideological elements was 95%.
From 2013 to 2016, its identity remained Al-Qaeda, with direct and explicit affiliation after splitting from ISIS. However, it entered into competition with ISIS, leading to recruitment without clear criteria. The percentage of ideological elements decreased to 70% during this period. The number of detained agents has reached 650 out of 5500 fighters.
At this stage, the percentage of ideological elements is less than 3%, and the rest are mercenaries, drug addicts, Tax collector, merchants, and warlords. This excessive class of warlords, who change their cars several times a month and indulge in luxurious lifestyles with the latest mobile phones, has led the elements, especially the companions, to become agents, as they witness the private lives of the warlords.
