Crazy what a single line in a show can do
Just was watching cobra kai with my family and in the 6th episode of season 4, there's a girl who replies with "Im asexual" when Lawrence tries to use Miguel's body to recruit her. Anyways I first off silently freaked out in happiness and my mom asked "What’s asexual?" I explained her the basic as we're still watching it and she didn't say anything negative like she usually would about any other sexuality. It's a small step but a step for sure, maybe one day I can be open about how I'm the same way.

What would you like authors to remember when writing characters that are asexual and sex-favorable?
The title says it basically, but me and a friend are writing a book and the main character is asexual and sex-favorable. (I'm asexual but sex-repulsed btw). The character has a boyfriend and a queer-platonic partner.
Thank you!

Ace Ring Advice? I want to buy a ring to express my asexuality. However I'm unsure of which to buy. Which one do you think is most appropriate? Any other options are recommendations are welcome!

Woman asking adoptees their opinions on her adopting due to being a sex-repulsed asexual. I’m so tired of this gross treatment.

This really is The Best Arrowverse Show™.
So it turns out my mom outed me to my dad behind my back... (CW minor acephobia)
Background: I (21) am out to my younger sister and my mom but not to my dad. My sister and I go to different colleges away from home so my family connect and chat mainly through video calls.
When I came out to my mom I only said that I don't want to tell my dad because he already knows I won't date/have sex/get married any time soon (so I could avoid his acephobia, but I didn't tell my mom this part).
But it turns out she interpreted it as she could choose to tell him and I wouldn't mind. So he has known for a long time... It wasn't until I told my sister not to share ace tik tok to the family chat because I wasn't out to dad yet that she told me they talked about my identity a few weeks earlier, after she checked with mom that I was fine letting him know. (I wasn't in the video call that day because of school work.) And later my mom told me that she told him way earlier.
Turns out he didn't reacted all that well and basically implied that I will grow out of it. Honestly I am not surpirsed by his reaction. But my mom said that she thought it wasn't that bad, which stings a bit.
Anyway I'm not even that angry. I just thought it was funny. My sister is the angriest right now because my mom misinterpreted my intention and she felt she "betrayed" me by extension. This whole thing is just ridiculous because it's based on so many levels of misunderstanding and miscommunication and creates so much drama.
I'm not really here to ask for advice or anything. Just wanted to find an anonymous spot to vent haha. Thanks for reading?
