The title of this talk it "Radiesthesia and Thought" and its endeavor is to associate the two in an understandable relationship.

A summary of the suggested relationship is:

1. The stimulation, by conscious attention or subconsciously by the essential simplicity, of stores sets of co-ordinates, preprogrammed as the heritage of the human species, or individually acquired from experience, directs the whole of our living activity.

2. We were designed as systems of boundaries and energies, but these can become modified into barriers and stresses. Barriers and stresses result from failure to accept the direction of the essential simplicity and from endeavoring to extend our activities beyond the limits of design.

3. Radiesthesia detects boundaries and/or barriers. It can, therefore, be used to measure the difference between a boundary and a barrier, and this could represent a degree of ill health.

4. In an inanimate electronic system such as a television receiver, a boundary has become a barrier, once it has been correctly measured, may be temporarily restored by the injection of the appropriate "corrective message" in the form of a pattern of supplementary electric potentials.

5. In man, a boundary which has become a barrier, once it is correctly measure, may be treated with the appropriate corrective message.

6. Because man was designed to be self-repairing, the remedial pattern is able to set in motion his repair mechanisms as long as he is not producing too many new destructive patters for himself."

Jacques Ravatin presents the theory of forms and fields of coherence, which questions the limits of the Cartesian model of rational thought. Classical reasoning cuts reality into fragments and traps it inside a rigid structure that he likens to a cage. As an alternative he proposes non-Cartesian systems organized around ternary logic that does not divide but unites. Phenomena are approached as whole entities, for example water as “the entity water” rather than as H2O. Ancient cultures already operated with this integrative way of thinking, which is reflected in their monuments, rituals, alphabets, and symbols. These were made as vehicles of coherence fields that served a deeper function than mere material objects.

Forms become active generators of coherence. Monuments like pyramids, statues, or cathedrals are not only geometrical constructions but mediators linking forms together and aligning them with larger patterns such as constellations. Through this process new fields and new configurations appear. Ravatin describes these tensions with specially created terminology such as "radio liquidermic", explaining that they act on liquids, on environments, and even on human temperament. His research methods involved experiments with tubes, crystals, and alphabetic symbols to create emissions that were not electromagnetic but that carried an imprint capable of altering perception or matter. These emissions showed stability over distances ranging from a few meters to astronomical scales, demonstrating persistence of coherence fields. To validate the effects his group experimented on themselves, not on animals, noting changes in their own state of consciousness and physiology. The principle is that the observer, the observed, and the action of observing form one ternary process in which the observer both co creates the world and dissolves into it at the same moment. This creates reality in ways that Cartesian thought cannot accommodate.

Alphabets and written forms illustrate this principle. Drawing a line or writing a trigram generates emissions and informational presence that only become clear within the context in which they were born. Each arrangement of three or six lines acts like a seed. Ravatin calls these beginnings "proforms", pointing out that nature never exhausts itself in finished products but provides initials that thought must complete. Humans are therefore always co-creators holding simultaneous relations in which the creation of the world and the creation of the observer occur together. This recursive ternary logic explains why engaging with forms can feel like entering dreamlike passages.

Records of twentieth century research confirm similar effects. Devices created in France, Russia, Italy, and the United States exhibited anomalies that could not be explained by rational physics, including unfamiliar electricities, the ability to paint in pyramids without artificial light, and therapies using structured colors or sound patterns. Indian practices based on six fundamental colors, Chinese work with hexagrams, and American Indian musical rituals align with these findings, since they also worked with emissions and tensions beyond local measurable forces. Through such processes it was possible to trigger rain or directly alter environments. To Ravatin this shows that ancient societies were sophisticated manipulators of coherence field.
