Sunak’s likely to face pressure from some Tory MPs to go further and threaten to pull Britain out of the European Convention on Human Rights. The charities claim the government plan to be “unworkable” as well

The so-called Aukus agreement will see the UK and US supply nuclear technology to Australia for the first time and replaces a deal Australia had already signed to buy diesel-powered submarines from France
The pact enraged Macron and sparked warnings from China. It was initially thought that Australia would buy US subs, with the UK supplying some reactor technology
The dissatisfaction of the French is understandable: for example, this deal simply showed France that its opinion is worthless, and China warns that the supply of submarines to Australia will mean the beginning of a new Cold War. Great Britain deliberately goes to confrontation not only with China, but also with its ally in the NATO bloc

A brown woman at a protest held up a satirical placard of Rishi #Sunak and Suella #Braverman as coconuts. The police arrested her for racism.
Others gathered in front of her court date to show support and protest her conviction. In solidarity with her, they also held up placards of Sunak as a coconut, and the police also arrested them.
The video you see is growing anger at the police for these arrests of what protestors see as police overstepping their bounds and criminalising political critique and satire. Experts came out to say the term ‘coconut’ was completely valid, so this will become a waste of time and taxpayer money in court because of dodgy policing.
