Yesterday the AFU launched its third offensive in the Krasny #Lyman direction (the first two were successfully repelled by the town's garrison).
The main strike this time was launched to the north-west of the town, bypassing the town from the direction of the #Oskol Reservoir and under the cover of artillery located behind it.
Consequently, after taking control of the village of #Rubtsy and reaching the village of #Drobyshevo, today the enemy tried to extend its success towards the village of #Redkodub (up to two companies with 25 BMUs), but was met with heavy fire from Russian artillery and retreated back to #Rubtsy.
Nevertheless, by evening it is trying to gain a foothold in Koroviy Yar (the result is still unclear) and thus the enemy's main intention is already clearly visible, and therefore it is very likely that tomorrow will be the critical part of the third assault of Krasny Lyman.
But no matter how difficult it was for the volunteers from the Kuban and the Russian Armed Forces soldiers in Krasny #Lyman today, the main result of almost two weeks of fighting for this key city is that despite the numerical superiority of the AFU, they did not allow the enemy to repeat the success that they had achieved in the #Balakleya-#Izyum area. At the same time, the enemy's losses in this area have already exceeded those of the entire Balakley-Izyum offensive.

Everywhere it encountered dense barrier fire, and attempts to break through near #Novoselovka-#Drobyshevo resulted in significant losses. Also, the enemy has not yet taken control of the village of Koroviy Yar. This is the good news.
The bad news... In the morning from #Kharkov to #Izyum huge columns of AFU "troops" are coming, which obviously will be thrown to "the last assault" on #Lyman, tomorrow at the latest, to sweeten the pill of political defeat in connection with the referendums held by Russia.
And therefore fortitude to our guys. Looks like tomorrow will be Judgment Day for #Lyman...

The AFU is trying to develop an offensive against the RF Armed Forces' positions on the eastern bank of the #Oskol River. However, the units of the 20th Army were not only able to repel the enemy's attacks, but also to push him back to his initial lines.
▪️ Enemy motorised infantry tried to re-attack Russian positions near #Redkodub and #Karpovka from the #Lozovoye side, but were pushed back to their initial positions.
▪️ Fighting between mobile groups of Russian Forces and the AFU is taking place in the fields west of Koroviy Yar and #Karlovka.
▪️ The village of #Drobyshevo and surrounding villages are held by reservists from BARS-13, who previously fought in the vicinity of #Bogorodichnoye. In four days of active fighting, the Ukrainian Armed Forces failed to break through the front. Enemy units entrenched themselves in the outskirts of #Novoselovka village. In #Novoselovka and #Drobyshevo, Ukrainian Forces are conducting artillery and rocket attacks and using phosphorus munitions.
▪️ Russian artillery struck massively at units of the 66th AFU detachment, which were forming up in combat formation near the village of #Shchurovo for a subsequent attack on #Lyman from the south. ▪️ The intensity of fighting near #Drobyshevo on the southern flank has decreased, AFU units trying to bypass the Russian stronghold from the side of #Redkodub village.
▪️ Ukrainian Forces took control over the villages of #Karpovka and #Novoye and expanded the bridgehead north of #Drobyshevo.
▪️ From the direction of #Karpovka, the enemy tried to break through the defences of our troops towards #Shandrigolovo in two battle groups.
After losing four tanks, five BMPs and a large number of personnel to MLRS and artillery hits and in a brief engagement with Russian units on the outskirts of the village, the remaining AFU combat groups retreated towards #Karpovka.

The threat to the frontline west of #Lyman remains. The AFU has managed to bypass the Allied bridgehead at #Drobyshevo from the north and extend the breakthrough at #Redkodub.
▪️ Attempts to storm #Lyman from the direction of #Ozernoye and #Shchurovo were repulsed by Allied forces.
▪️ AFU units established control over the villages of #Karpovka and #Novoye and expanded the bridgehead north of #Drobyshevo which is still under the control of Russian Forces.
▪️ The Ukrainian command is building up its grouping to expand the bridgehead and reach the #Svatovo-#Borovoye highway. Fierce fighting is taking place north of the village of #Redkodub.
▪️ In the south, Ukrainian Forces are trying to storm the bridgehead of the allied forces in #Drobyshevo - #Shandrigolovo.
From the #Karpovka side, the enemy attempted to break through the Russian Forces' defences towards #Shandrigolovo with two assault squads.
After the loss of four tanks, five BMPs and a large number of personnel in attacks by MLRS, artillery and Russian armoured vehicles on the outskirts of the village, the remnants of the AFU strike groups withdrew towards #Karpovka.
▪️ East of #Redkodub, Ukrainian units are trying to advance towards Zelonaya Dolina to encircle the #Lyman grouping via #Stavka and #Kolodezi.
▪️ An AFU artillery reconnaissance station is deployed in #Prishib. The enemy is conducting counter-battery warfare using HIMARS missiles and Excalibur guided artillery ammunition.
The Russian Command is throwing reserves into the battle to stop the Ukrainian troops and slow their advance in order to buy time, create a solid defensive line and stabilise the situation on the front.
The entire burden of defence now rests on units and formations of the 20th Combined Arms Army and individual units of other formations.

#Kharkov Direction:
▪️ Ukrainian formations continue to try to break through the defence lines of the Russian Forces at the #Lyman 1-#Tavolzhanka line. The Russian Forces repulsed an attack by the 14th Brigade's assault detachments in #Tavolzhanka, the enemy was forced to retreat and regroup.
▪️ Ukrainian Forces managed to consolidate in the area of #Kupyansk-Uzlovaya station and #Kovsharovka. Russian Forces have reportedly abandoned #Kupyansk after heavy fighting.
▪️ Russian Forces struck the areas where the Ukrainian Forces have deployed M777 howitzers in #Dvurechnaya. At the same time, Russian Forces targeted enemy personnel, equipment and facilities in #Golubovka, #Kupyansk and #Senkovo.
#Lyman Direction:
▪️ Ukrainian units made an unsuccessful attempt to storm #Lyman from the direction of #Dibrova. At the same time, another AFU offensive from the direction of #Ozernoye and #Shchukovo failed.
▪️ On the northern flank, Ukrainian formations have taken control of the #Katerinovka village. At the same time, the enemy is trying to occupy territory near the village of #Kolodezi to cut off the road from #Svatovo, which is used to supply the #Lyman grouping.

Ukrainian formations continue to surround #Lyman, and are developing an offensive towards the territorial borders of the Luhansk People's Republic. The #Lyman garrison is fighting superior enemy forces and is in an operational encirclement.
▪️ On the outskirts of #Lyman:
➖ The enemy has attempted to attack the city from three directions, from the #Dibrova side, the Brusino station and Stary Karavan. The garrison is holding out, all attacks are repulsed.
➖ The Armed Forces of Ukraine intensively shell #Lyman with all available means of destruction, including HIMARS MLRS.
▪️ North of #Lyman:
➖ Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine occupied #Kolodezi, Zelenaya Dolina and cut off the Svatovo - Makeevka - Terny - Lyman road.

The "cauldron" around #Lyman is almost completely closed. The link across the road to Torskoye is under enemy fire control. The day before, the 503rd Motorised Rifle Regiment of the 19th Motorised Rifle Division of the 58th Combined Army was deployed to this area. Professional soldiers, who entered the battlefield side by side with mobilised soldiers, attempted to widen the "knot" that had closed around Liman.
After the fall of #Stavok, they managed to hold off the enemy on the outskirts of the settlement. North of #Lyman, the front line runs along the line between the southern outskirts of #Stavok and the northern outskirts of #Zarechnoye.
North of #Zarechnoye, the Ukrainian SRGs quietly cross the other side of the #Zherebets river and operate near the route to #Svatovo.
In the south, the situation is worse: from #Yampol, the RF forces have retreated to #Lyman and the settlement is in a grey zone. The situation is similar in #Drobyshevo: the AFU has managed to break through the defensive lines of the RF forces and force the Russian troops to retreat into the city.
The Russian Forces are still under fire from the advancing enemy units. For the moment, however, Lyman's line of defence is narrowed to the administrative boundaries of the city itself.
Unless urgent measures are taken in the near future to lift the blockade of #Lyman and redeploy a substantial part of the reserves, the city will fall along with its defenders and there will be nothing to prevent the Ukrainian militants from developing an offensive deep into Russian territory.

Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to develop operational successes in the defensive area of the troops of the Western Military District of the Russian Armed Forces and the People's Militia of the People's Republic of Lugansk.
▪️ After the withdrawal from #Drobyshevo and #Yampol, the defence of the Russian Forces was built up on the outskirts of #Lyman and in the buffer zone around the Lyman-Zarechnoye-Torskoye road. The Russian troops have stopped the offensive of the Ukrainian Forces by deploying reserves and conducting counter maneuvering battles towards #Yampol and #Stavki. By the end of the day, #Stavki was recaptured.
▪️ Enemy armoured groups are trying to advance from #Drobyshevo, #Stavkov, #Dibrovo and #Yampol towards #Lyman and #Torskoye itself.
▪️ North of #Zarechnoye, Ukrainian armoured vehicles managed to advance through a dam across the #Zherebets river to the village of #Terny, but were driven away by approaching units of Russian forces. The Ukrainian units were pushed back to the west bank near #Ivanovka. At nightfall, the Ukrainian forces launched another attack on the village of #Terny and #Yampolovka.
▪️ Ukrainian Forces are building up their offensive grouping and hastily moving units from around #Seversk and #Soledar, reserves from #Slavyansk and #Kramatorsk. They have to partially denude the direction of #Soledar, where units of the PMC Wagner, the LPR and the DPR are advancing.
The #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk) Direction:

▪️ North of #Zarechnoye, Ukrainian armoured vehicles managed to advance through a dam across the #Zherebets river to the village of #Terny, but were driven away by approaching units of Russian forces. The Ukrainian units were pushed back to the west bank near #Ivanovka. At nightfall, the Ukrainian forces launched another attack on the village of #Terny and #Yampolovka.
▪️ Ukrainian Forces are building up their offensive grouping and hastily moving units from around #Seversk and #Soledar, reserves from #Slavyansk and #Kramatorsk. They have to partially denude the direction of #Soledar, where units of the PMC Wagner, the LPR and the DPR are advancing.
The #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk) Direction:
▪️ Wagner PMC assault units are fighting fiercely on the outskirts of #Bakhmut and #Soledar, as well as in the villages of #Zaitsevo and #Otradovka on the southern flank of this section of the front.
▪️ The 3rd Brigade of the DPR People´s Militia is fighting in the #Gorlovka suburb of #Majorsk.
#Lugansk Region:
Ukrainian militants hit civilian infrastructure in #Severodonetsk, #Lysychansk and #Kremennaya.
#Donetsk Direction:
▪️ The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue shelling residential areas in #Donetsk agglomeration from positions in #Nevelskoye and #Avdeevka.
#Zaporozhye Direction:
Artillery duels continue in Zaporozhye region. Russiand Forces suppressed enemy positions in #Nikopol and #Marganets, from where the enemy is shelling the #Zaporozhye NPP.
Four tanks, two BMPs and a build-up of AFU personnel were destroyed in the village of #Andreevka.
#Dnipropetrovsk Region:
▪️ Overnight the Russian Armed Forces destroyed at least two ammunition depots in #Dnipropetrovsk with several missile strikes.

Commandant units from the LPR Peoples Militia and Bars units continue to serve to protect the town. The external perimeter of the Krasny #Lyman districts is occupied by units of the 58th and 20th.
In the morning the AFU, according to intelligence, began regrouping near #Drobyshevo and #Seversk, where last night wedge strikes were launched by advanced units of the 58A reserve and tank units in order to unblock the encirclement that had begun in Krasny #Lyman. At the same time having considerably weakened the fire impact after the night work of aircraft and our MLRS.
The Krasny Lyman - Torskoye - Kremennaya route is under full control of Allied forces. The forest areas between #Belogorovka, #Kremennaya and #Yampol are now under no one's control. There is constant fighting there.
The command decided to transfer a certain amount of reserve forces of the Southern Military District to Krasny #Lyman in order to ensure in the near future the development of a counter-offensive in the newly created operational area towards #Kharkov via #Kupyansk, #Balakleya, #Shevchenkovo and #Pervomayskoye.

The situation in #Lyman is far from stabilizing. Despite the Russian General Staff's obvious focus on the threatened area, there is no weakening of support on the part of the AFU.
▪️ A smaller contingent of the defending garrison remains in #Lyman itself. All troops are dispersed along the Lyman-Zarechnoye-Torskoye road and on the outskirts of #Lyman, #Yampol and #Stavkov.
▪️ The southern outskirts of #Stavkov are controlled by the Russian Forces and the northern outskirts by the AFU. #Drobyshevo is under the full control of the enemy. The AFU do not abandon attempts to take full control of the dams, trying to advance from #Belogorovka and #Ivanovka to #Terny and #Yampolovka. The enemy fails to gain a foothold on the eastern bank.
▪️ The transferred Russian reinforcements are busy stabilizing the Torskoye-Kremennaya section and attempting to widen the semicircle of encirclement around the shelled "Road of Life".
▪️ Russian aviation and artillery are working on pontoons, routes for Ukrainian reinforcements and advancing units.
The situation for the Russian Armed Forces is slightly but still improved compared to yesterday. Western bloggers and analysts call the battle for #Lyman the "general battle" of the autumn campaign. If the Russian General Staff acts competently, there is still an opportunity to destroy a huge number of Ukrainian troops in one place and turn the tide of hostilities in this area.
But at the same time a decision may be taken to withdraw troops from #Lyman and take up defence along the left bank of the reservoir.
