⚡️🇧🇾🇷🇺🇺🇦 Situation in the Belarusian Direction by the End of 20 Oct 2022⚡️
⚠️ Amid rumours of an imminent offensive by the Russian Forces either on #Lvov with #Volyn, #Kiev, #Chernigov or #Kharkov, the @Rybar's team decided to turn its attention to the northern regions of #Ukraine and report regularly on the developments there.
Currently, the Ukrainian command continues to reinforce the troop grouping in the north of the country. Reinforcements are being moved to the regions bordering #Belarus, and fortifications are being built in the #Kharkov Region.
#Kharkov Sector:
▪️ A grouping has been formed to prevent Russian troops from resuming their offensive on the regional centre.
▪️ Military personnel of the AFU engineering units are building fortifications at the #Okop - #Veterinarnoye line as well as in #Lukyantsy. Territorial Defence detachments are manning firing positions.
▪️ AFU reconnaissance groups are reconnoitring in the border areas. Observation posts have been established near #Volchansk, #Ternovaya and #Revolyutsionny.
▪️ Artillery crews are deployed near Malye Prokhody, #Borshchevaya, #Liptsy, #Veseloye. And two 155mm Bogdan self-propelled artillery units have been moved to #Pobeda (#Peremoga).
#Chernigov Sector:
▪️ Ukrainian formations are preparing for a possible offensive by the Russian Forces. North of Novgorod-Seversky and in #Shostka, the 209th Anti Tank Division of the 403rd AFU Artillery Brigade has set up an ambush in hidden firing positions.
▪️ Sabotage groups with SPG-9 anti-tank grenade launchers have taken up positions near Seredina-Buda and Gremyach settlements. And 155-mm artillery pieces have been deployed south of Seredina-Buda.
▪️ Several detachments of English-speaking mercenaries - mostly US citizens - have been moved to the area of the #Desna combined arms training ground.
#Kiev Sector:
Ukrainian formations with the forces of the 6th Border Unit and Special Forces reconnaissance groups conduct patrols in the vicinity of the Rudnya-Ilinetskaya and Rudki settlements.
▪️ Engineer teams of the 115th Territorial Defence Brigade are setting up mine barriers on the likely offensive routes of the combined group of troops from #Belarus.
▪️ The Ukrainian command notes that Russian soldiers are using UAVs of various types on a large scale. The Ukrainian Air Force command post has been moved to #Bushevo due to the risk of strikes on rear facilities.
▪️ Several electronic warfare assets, including Khmara and Anklav, were deployed in #Brovary to counter drones and suppress communication channels.
#Northwest Section:
Ukrainian formations continue to prepare reserves to replenish the troops groupings in various directions.
▪️ A new unit, the 77th Separate Airmobile Brigade of Airborne Assault Troops, is being formed at the 37th Combined Arms Range of the AFU in #Perlyavka, southwest of #Zhytomyr. The 67th Mechanized Reserve Brigade will be established at the 184th training centre in #Starichi.
▪️ A command and observation post of the 2nd Special Forces Unit of the 71st AFU Jager Brigade is established near the settlement of #Vezhitsa in the #Rivne region. Six reconnaissance units of the 71st Jager Brigade patrol the border areas with #Belarus on a daily basis.

🔻 On the #Kharkov Front Section, the RFAF continued the offensive.
🟡 Within 2 days the RFAF took the settlements of #Krasnoye, #Morokhovets, #Oleynikovo, #Gatishche, #Ogurtsovo, #Borisovka, #Strelechya, #Pletenevka and #Pylnaya.
🟡 Ongoing fights for #Zelenoye, #Staritsa, #Glubokoye and #Lukyantsy and at the outskirts of #Volshansk town. Meanwhile, in the latter the entry of the RFAF is reported.

🟡 In #SouthBakhmut Sector, RFAF assaults in #Kleshcheyevka are reported.
🔻 #Avdeyevka Direction:
🟡 The Northern Front is without significant changes.
🟡 In #Orlovka Sector, no significant changes:
🟡 On the Southern Front, in #Krasnogorovka, the RFAF takeover of the Krasnogorovka Refractory Plant and advance in the east of the town is confirmed by todays 👉 Mapreport. Heavy fights are ongoing.
🔻 #Ugledar Direction:
🟡 In #Maryinka Sector, the RFAF advanced in #Georgiyevka.
🟡 In the #Ugledar Section, the RFAF advanced north of #Vladimirovka.

🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, fighting continues for positions northwest of #Verbovoye. Even if not very actively, but the RFAF do not stop pressuring the Ukrainian defence. The line of contact is without significant changes. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the #Donetsk Front, Russian troops continue to assault #Georgiyevka, where the AFU still maintains their presence, but nothing can prevent the advance of our troops.
🟡 In #Krasnogorovka, the fighting continues, where Russian troops are increasingly pushing back the enemy. There are tactical successes. There are also advances in #Netaylovo. There Ukrainian troops are also forced to withdraw closer and closer to the outskirts of the settlement.
🟡 In #Umanskoye, the situation is similar. (Fig. 2)
🔴 In the #ChasovYar Direction, the frontline is without much change. The AFU is trying to regain lost positions in the area of #Bogdanovka. There is heavy fighting. Fighting also continues in the eastern suburbs of #ChasovYar and west of #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye). (Fig. 3)
🔴 On the #Kharkov Front, the RFAF are advancing in #Volchansk, the AFU is forced to withdraw, but they are withdrawing with fighting. Fighting continues for the village of #Staritsa. Russian troops are advancing in the area of (the taken) #Lukyantsy.
🟡 In the area of #Liptsy, also fighting continues.
🟡 In general, the Russian army retains the initiative, albeit not quickly, but methodically pushing through the AFU defence in this direction. (Fig. 4)

🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, the line of contact without significant changes. Northwest of #Verbovoye, there are positional battles. Long range weapons are actively working. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the #Donetsk Front, heavy urban fighting continues in #Krasnogorovka. Russian troops are advancing in the eastern outskirts of the town. In #Netaylovo, the settlement is being cleared of the remnants of the Ukrainian garrison. There are tactical successes of the RFAF in the area of #Nevelskoye.
🟡 In the area of #Umanskoye, fierce fighting continues. Similarly on the approaches to #Novopokrovskoye. (Fig. 2)
🔴 In the #ChasovYar Direction, fighting continues in the eastern suburbs. At the same time, Russian troops are conducting offensives on the northern and southern sides of the town. Over the past day without any major advances. (Fig. 3)
🔴 On the #Kharkov Front, Russian troops are advancing with fighting in the town limits of #Volchansk, pushing the AFU more and more towards the outskirts of the town.
🟡 On #Liptsy's northern outskirts and on the approaches to #Lukyantsy, fighting continues. (Fig. 4)

🔴 On the #Zaporozhye Front, Russian troops continue to clear #Rabotino and the surrounding areas. The AFU still has several serious fortifications in the area. (Fig. 1)
🔴 On the #Donetsk Front, the RFAF continue to clear #Georgiyevka.
🟡 In #Krasnogorovka, heavy urban fighting continues. #Netaylovo has almost completely fallen under the control of Russian forces.
🟡 In #Umanskoye, fighting continues on the western outskirts of the locality. There is also fighting on the outskirts of #Novopokrovskoye. The line of contact is unchanged. (Fig. 2)
🔴 In the #ChasovYar Direction, Russian troops have been taking assault actions in the eastern outskirts of the town. There are tactical successes. (Fig. 3)
🔴 On the #Kharkov Front, Russian troops continue offensive actions in #Volchansk, ahead of the water barrier in the form of the Volchya River, behind which the AFU withdrew. The village of #Staritsa has been liberated.
🟡 On #Liptsy's northern outskirts and on the approaches of #Lukyantsy, fighting continues. (Fig. 4)
