#Donetsk Direction (MAP):
▪️ Russian troops are developing an offensive near the #Peski settlement. Units of the Sparta Battalion have captured enemy strongholds on the #Donetsk Ring Road and also liberated most of #Vodyanoye.
Units of the LPR People's Militia have cleared the advanced AFU positions near #Opytnoye and are also fighting in the western part of #Pervomayskoye and in the fields near #Nevelskoye.

▪️ On Saturday, Ukrainian militants dropped several explosive devices from a copter on the Glushkovskaya power station in #Kursk region, leaving the village without electricity. The power supply was later restored.
▪️ Enemy militants also shelled the village of #Krasnooktyabrsky in the Glushkov district.
▪️ The AFU launched several strikes on the town of #Shebekino in the #Belgorod region, damaging several civilian infrastructure facilities.
#Northukrainian Direction (MAP):
▪️ The AFU concentrated at least 30 combat vehicles with personnel in #Galaganovka and #Semenovka in #Chernigov region on the border with Russia.

🔎 Rybar's team continues its analysis of the consequences of a systemic fire attack on Ukraine's energy system.
#Kiev said today's raid was the largest such attack since the start of the SMO. According to Ukrainian resources, cruise missiles and kamikaze drones damaged 15 critical infrastructure facilities.
We have repeatedly written that strikes have a cumulative effect, with each successive raid resulting in increasingly grave consequences for the Ukrainian energy system. This is exactly what today's events have demonstrated:
▪️ Strikes on the #Zmiev thermal power plant in #Chuguev district temporarily completely de-energised the entire #Kharkov region.
▪️ Strikes on facilities in #Kiev led to massive overloads in the power grid and tripping of emergency frequency overload automatics, which was perfectly visible in the footage of pulsating power on and off.
▪️ Repeated strikes on the #Zhytomyr 330 substation resulted in power outages in this regional centre and areas around it.
▪️ Voltage surges and temporary power outages were reported in western regions of Ukraine after repeated strikes on the Lvov-South 330 substation in Lvov Region and the #Kovel 330 substation in #Volyn Region.
🔻 For the first time, #Moldova also experienced the consequences of Russian missile strikes: paradoxically, they were the consequence of the policies of the authorities themselves in #Chisinau.
➖ Restrictions of gas supply to #Transnistria led to decrease of generation of the Moldavian state district power station that with its capacity stabilized the situation in the south of #Odessa region and fed the energy deficit of #Moldova.
➖ Due to reduced capacity and increased consumption from Ukraine, exacerbated by a possible impact on the 330 substation in #Artsyz, an automatic protection was triggered at the TPP. The plant switched to self-powered operation, which caused consumers in Moldova and Transnistria to be disconnected.
➖ Also, a section of the 750kV high voltage transit line in #Romania was disconnected, which may indirectly indicate a possible short circuit from the 750kV switchgear of the South Ukraine NPP.
🔻 The lack of objective data from most of the hit locations made it impossible to determine exactly which elements of the energy facilities were targeted in each attack.
However, dense black plumes could be seen in photos and videos from the arrival areas. This indirectly indicates that it is highly likely that the strikes were again directed at power and automatic transformers rather than general control stations (GCPs).
🩸 Their preservation would once again allow Ukrainian power producers to reassemble emergency circuits and eliminate damaged equipment in a relatively short period of time. Yes, it will cause even more severe restrictions, but power supply to consumers will be restored.
The absence of strikes on the General Control Stations reduces the impact on the Ukrainian energy system, although even then its resilience drops with each attack.

In addition, the Shebelinsky State Bearing Plant near #Balakleya in #Kharkov region, a mining facility in #Kiev region, a Yuzhmash workshop in #Dnepropetrovsk, a logistics hub in #Ochakov, and a military unit at #Zastava in #Odessa were also hit.
▪️ An unidentified object was hit in the #Stryisky district of #Lvov region.
▪️ Air defence systems were triggered in #Poltava and #Cherkasy regions.
#Crimea:
▪️ In #Feodosia, an Ukrainian drone attempted to attack the #Kafa power substation, but the facility suffered no damage.
▪️ In #Dzhankoy, air defence assets went off in the evening, there is no information about the arrivals.
#Belgorod Region:

What is happening is a clear example of the systematic firing on the Ukrainian energy system. The country will not experience a total "blackout", but the failure of transformer equipment and other similar facilities is destroying the single structure.
The grid is gradually disintegrating into separate unconnected "islands", with areas in the southern part of the country no longer able to draw power from nuclear power plants in western Ukraine.
Yes, the energy sector is urgently picking up emergency circuits and rerouting power to problem areas. News broke yesterday of the detention in #Odessa of the organiser of recent protests over power cuts in the city, caused by disruptions due to Russian military strikes on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
▪️ The demonstrations began after information was circulated in Odessa chat rooms that cinemas in #Lvov were running amid severe electricity problems in the #Odessa region.
▪️ On 18 November, residents of houses in #Tairova Settlement blocked the street because of a four-day power outage. According to them, the reason was the inaction of the authorities to repair transformers.
▪️ On the morning of 19 November, residents of the Raduzhnyy housing estate on Marshala Zhukova Avenue (Nebesnaya Sotnya) also blocked the road at a pedestrian crossing. People began self-coordinating via house chats.
▪️ However, police dispersed both actions. The SBU arrested one of the organisers, who apologised on camera and refused to engage in further protests. In addition, the authorities promised Odessans to fix breakdowns in the energy system and created a bot to appeal to residents sitting without electricity for more than three days.
▪️ Similar actions began in #Chernigov, where residents were without power for 20 hours. But local officials told people about a quick solution to the problem and persuaded them to go home.
🩸 Now the protests in #Odessa are likely to die down. In other Ukrainian cities, too, we should not expect a surge of demonstrations: the administrative and power resources of the Kiev authorities simply will not allow them to reach even the regional level.
Nevertheless, what has happened is evidence of public dissatisfaction with the problems in the Ukrainian energy system. Yes, there will be no mass acts of defiance, but the permanent problems with electricity will affect the morale of the Ukrainian population.
And that, in turn, will directly affect the AFU's decreased morale on the front lines and reduce the enemy's offensive capabilities.
Therefore, the systematic firefighting of Ukraine's energy infrastructure must continue.

📋🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Two Majors #Report for the Morning of 23 February 2024; pub. 08:09📍
🎯 At night, the RF Armed Forces attacked enemy targets in #Odessa, #Kharkov, #Dnepropetrovsk, and #Kirovograd regions with missile weapons and Gerani UAVs. The work of the Ukrainian air defences led to damage to civilian facilities.
🔹 In the #Kherson direction, the destruction of the remaining enemy forces in #Krynki continues, in the #Dnieper riverbed, fire on enemy boats and the actions of our and enemy infantry groups on the islands. Nevertheless, they report a problem with the speed of passing the decision to inflict fire damage on identified targets. The enemy's resources have changed their rhetoric and admit that for several months there has been no talk of creating a bridgehead for crossing the #Dnieper and a full scale attack. The enemy held #Krynki at the cost of thousands Ukrainian soldiers' life for the sake of "informational effect".
🔹On the #Zaporozhye front, there are battles in #Rabotino, the AFU are conducting maneuverable defence, transferring reinforcements to the #Orekhov area, where our artillery and aviation are working.
🔹 South of #Maryinka, fighting continues ⚠️in the settlement of #Pobeda, the assault on #Novomikhaylovka is underway. Yesterday our rocket artillery was working hard on the enemy, there is an advance towards the motorway to #Ugledar.

🔹 At #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye), heavy fighting took place in the direction of #Artyomovsk – Chasov Yar. Footage of our advancing armored vehicles, which are being attacked by many drones, has spread across the network, reporting the advance of the RF Armed Forces to the eastern outskirts of #Ivanovskoye.

⚫️ The intensity of fighting on the ground decreased. Some AFU presence on our coast remains. Our army continues to sweep. AFU Drones and artillery cause a lot of difficulties.

⚫️ In the #Orekhov Section, our forces are already attacking from the #Rabotino centre, which we confidently control, towards the House of Culture site, where the AFU is still holding the defence. Ours are pressing, the AFU is moving fresh reserves from #Orekhov.

🔻#Kherson Direction:
🟡 In #Krynki, the AFU are trying to bring reserves in. By a diversionary manoeuvre, they thought to pull our forces to the #Peschanovka - #Podstepnoye site. The plan failed. Moreover, our forces have reduced the grey zone west of Cossack Camps. There are fights ongoing in the #Krynki village itself.
🔻#Zaporozhye Direction:
🟡 In the #Orekhov Section, our army again expanded the control zone in the western and southern parts of #Rabotino. But in the north, the AFU managed to hold positions under heavy fire from our artillery.
📌 It must be understood that there is virtually nothing left of the village itself. For the AFU this site is important for maintaining heights. Having lost them, they will have to retreat at least 5 km and finally say goodbye to the meagre successes of the "counteroffensive".
🟡 In the #Gulyaypole Section, in the area near #Gulyaypole, there is also a movement of our army, but its prospects are still unclear, our forces do not have a large grouping there.
🔻#SouthDonetsk Direction:
🟡 In the #Maryinka Sector, in #Novomikhaylovka, many AFUshniks surrender under air bomb attacks. Footage of damaged Russian equipment is spreading online. Despite this, those on the other side of the front admit that their garrison will suffer the same fate as #Avdeyevka. Combat work is underway at #Krasnogorovka. Ours have crossed the railway line, fighting is going on at the Car Repair Plant, on the approaches to the main fortified area, the Refractory Plant.
🔻#Avdeyevka Direction:
🟡 In the #Orlovka Sector, our troops managed to storm half of #Orlovka and take control of a section of the #Berdychi - #Tonenkoye road that runs across the village. That is, the AFU logistics is disrupted. In #Tonenkoye, the AFU are gradually retreating, they have only one dirt road left to #Umanskoye. In #Berdychi, our troops clung to the eastern outskirts.
📌 The order of the AFU is to hold the defence along the #Berdychi - #Semenovka #Umanskoye line along the cascade of reservoirs. Probably, the AFU command hopes to gain time and prepare the defence line of #Ocheretino - #Kamyshevka - #Karlovka villages at heights and covered with large reservoirs.
🔻#Bakhmut Direction:
🟡 In the "Chasov Yar" Sector, our Forces are assaulting the AFU positions in #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye), about half of the village is behind ours.
📌 Information about the full liberation and withdrawal of the AFU from the field has not been confirmed, but this is a matter of the near future.

In the #Kharkov region, there were attacks on warehouses and deployment sites and so far in the Ukrainian part of the #DPR.

🟡 In the #Tyaginka Sector, the activity of enemy AFU groups remains on the islands opposite the section from #Krynki to Cossack Camps. Our troops continue to "smoke out" the AFU remnants from #Krynki.
🔻#Zaporozhye Direction:
🟡 In the #Orekhov Section, at #Rabotino, our forces are attacking from the southeast and southwest. AFU positions are hit in the landings. To the northwest of #Verbovoye, the AFU periodically send small groups to reconnoitre lost positions. Probably they will try to retake them.
🔻#SouthDonetsk Direction:
🟡 In the #Maryinka Sector, our army is advancing in #Novomikhaylovka from the east and south. Ours identify and hit the AFU drone control points in the village. The powerful assault on #Krasnogorovka continues, our troops are attacking on armored vehicles. The AFU try their best to hold the city.
🔻#Avdeyevka Direction:
🟡 In the #Orlovka Sector, #Berdychi is still contested. Our forces took control on about 2/3 of it. The area west of the pond now remains for the AFU. However, it is not easy for ours to get the remaining part. The AFU is bringing in a large number of reserves and equipment, probably preparing a counterattack. Whereas our offensive capabilities are limited by the proximity of #Ocheretino, from where the AFU artillery fires from the heights. #Tonenkoye is controlled by 3/4, as from the field is estimated. There, as well as to #Orlovka, the AFU is deploying reserves.
📌 Kiev is making efforts to slow down our advance as much as possible and timely to strengthen its defences.
🔻#Bakhmut Direction:
🟡 In the "Chasov Yar" Sector, enemy resources insist that the AFU left #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye). Although according to available data, the advanced positions of our army are still located near the centre of the village. It is important that the key heights remain under AFU control, which slows down and complicates our advance. The artillery and aviation of our forces literally overwhelms the AFU positions in Chasov Yar with shells and bombs, preventing them from gathering reserves. There are also battles in #Bogdanovka. Info about its liberation is premature.
📌 The AFU has reasons to bite into positions like that. The loss of #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye) and #Bogdanovka will put the AFU garrison in Chasov Yar in a critically difficult position.
