⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Situation on the #Nikolaev-#KrivoyRog direction at the end of 2 September 2022⚡️
At the end of the fourth day of the Ukrainian offensive against #Kherson, Russian Forces successfully repelled the offensive in all sectors and restored the front line near Posad-Pokrovskoye and #Olgino. The fiercest fighting took place in the #Andreevka sector on the front line.
▪️ Despite the destruction of the AFU command post at #Bereznegovatoye and the elimination of a large arms and ammunition depot in Belaya Krinitsa, Ukrainian commanders continued to move equipment and personnel to the bridgehead on the south bank.
Through the open steppe, the reinforcements were driven through a narrow corridor in Sukhoy Stavok and Kostromka to the Davydov Brod-Novaya Kakhovka road. The AFU managed to occupy the ghost village of #Bezymennoye west of #Karlomarksovsky, which the AFU tried unsuccessfully to storm.
▪️ Russian Su-34s and Su-24s, as well as barrel and rocket artillery, knocked out the AFU pontoon crossings at #Andreevka and began systematically destroying the enemy forces locked in a firebag. AFU militants at #Bezymennoye were destroyed.
▪️ At the same time, from the #Blagodatovka side, the Russian Forces overcame the #Ingulets river and crossed to the north bank, broke through the defensive lines in the village of #Ternovka and captured a bridgehead.
▪️ From the #Nikolaev and #Bashtanka sides, the AFU began moving reinforcements during the night, including the first US M113s spotted near #Bereznegovatoye. Convoys with equipment went to #Pervomayskoye west of #Snigirovka, #Prishib (in the north) and to the destroyed crossings near #Andreevka.
It is likely that the AFU will attempt to encircle the RF Armed Forces in another section of the front in order to distract attention and unblock the remnants of troops on the southern bank of the #Ingulets River in the #Andreevka - #Lozovoye - #Kostromka triangle.

▪️ After several days of artillery preparation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack on #Balakleya, which had been reoccupied in March. The Ukrainian command had been preparing for the offensive for a month and was moving equipment and personnel near to the city daily. The last large convoy passed through #Andreevka, northwest of the city, just yesterday.
▪️ Ukrainian units advanced from the village of #Prishib towards #Verbovka, north of the city. Local sources reported the undermining of bridges over the Balakleyka and Kraynyaya Balakleyka rivers to prevent further AFU advances, with some of the overpasses reportedly already taken out of service in recent days.
▪️ Despite bravura statements by Ukrainian resources, no AFU units have entered #Balakleya. All fighting so far has taken place in the #Verbovka area and the 65th arsenal located there. Russian Forces have sent reinforcements to the town and the surrounding area.
▪️ The Russian air force has attacked the AFU headquarters in #Chuguev, from which the offensive against #Balakleya was directed. The Ukrainian command set up a fake command post in the town as a disguise, but the Russian Forces did not fall for the trick and hit the target.
▪️ At the same time, unconfirmed information has emerged about the advance of Russian troops in the north of Kharkov Region towards the village of #Shestakovo and the capture of the settlements of #Bayrak and #Peremoga.

The AFU command continues preparations for further development of the offensive and probes the Russian defences on the left bank of the Seversky Donets.
▪️ Assault groups of the 81st Airborne Brigade conducted a reconnaissance battle near #Drobyshevo. AFU reconnaissance teams revealed the locations of forts and the number of people in this section of the front. It is likely that the soldiers of the 81st Brigade will make another attempt to capture the settlement during the night.
▪️ More Ukrainian units continue to be moved via a pontoon to #Svyatogorsk to reinforce the troop grouping and limit the actions of Russian forces towards #Aleksandrovka.
▪️ On the #Bogorodichnoye — #Tatyanovka — #Prishib line, servicemen of the 95th Brigade have crossed the #Severskiy Donets in inflatable boats and occupied a bridgehead on the opposite bank. The Ukrainian units are now waiting for the main forces to approach.
▪️ Russian forces have broken through a section of AFU defences southeast of the settlement in a counter-offensive near #Lyman. Ukrainian units retreated to the Seversky Donets area.
▪️ The Ukrainian command set up pontoon crossings across the #Oskol river to provide communications and logistical support to the group advancing on #Svatovo with rear support in #Izyum.

The threat to the frontline west of #Lyman remains. The AFU has managed to bypass the Allied bridgehead at #Drobyshevo from the north and extend the breakthrough at #Redkodub.
▪️ Attempts to storm #Lyman from the direction of #Ozernoye and #Shchurovo were repulsed by Allied forces.
▪️ AFU units established control over the villages of #Karpovka and #Novoye and expanded the bridgehead north of #Drobyshevo which is still under the control of Russian Forces.
▪️ The Ukrainian command is building up its grouping to expand the bridgehead and reach the #Svatovo-#Borovoye highway. Fierce fighting is taking place north of the village of #Redkodub.
▪️ In the south, Ukrainian Forces are trying to storm the bridgehead of the allied forces in #Drobyshevo - #Shandrigolovo.
From the #Karpovka side, the enemy attempted to break through the Russian Forces' defences towards #Shandrigolovo with two assault squads.
After the loss of four tanks, five BMPs and a large number of personnel in attacks by MLRS, artillery and Russian armoured vehicles on the outskirts of the village, the remnants of the AFU strike groups withdrew towards #Karpovka.
▪️ East of #Redkodub, Ukrainian units are trying to advance towards Zelonaya Dolina to encircle the #Lyman grouping via #Stavka and #Kolodezi.
▪️ An AFU artillery reconnaissance station is deployed in #Prishib. The enemy is conducting counter-battery warfare using HIMARS missiles and Excalibur guided artillery ammunition.
The Russian Command is throwing reserves into the battle to stop the Ukrainian troops and slow their advance in order to buy time, create a solid defensive line and stabilise the situation on the front.
The entire burden of defence now rests on units and formations of the 20th Combined Arms Army and individual units of other formations.
