➖After heavy losses, the AFU retreated from the vicinity of Rubizhne to Stary Saltov.
➖Battles continue near Dementievka and Pyatomnik.

➖In Severodonetsk, the Russian Armed Forces continue to remove the ring of encirclement around the industrial zone. Foreign mercenary units note serious organizational problems of the AFU and seek to leave the city by retreating to Lysychansk.
➖ LNR military units are advancing towards Lysychansk from the south: Toshkivka is cleared, and there are battles near Ustinovka and Myrna Dolyna.
➖ To the north of Popasna, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing on Mykolayivka from the side of Vrubivka and Nyrkovo, which had been taken earlier. The units of the 14th AFU detachment defending the village suffer losses in manpower and equipment.

Today there were persistent fights for the village (south of Balakleya), the capture of which allows to create another bridgehead on the Seversky Donets right bank, the strategic importance of which can hardly be overestimated.
First, it secures the right flank and rear of the Russian grouping south of #Izium as it advances south into the #Slavyansk and #Kramatorsk areas.
And second, this bridgehead will be central to the offensive operation in #Kharkov in the future, which is quite possible this year.

🔻 #Kupiansk direction:
▪️ By transferring reserves to the #Kupyansk section of the front, the Russian Forces managed to stop the advance of the main AFU forces within a few kilometres of the city limits.
▪️ By the end of the day, the AFU had gained control over the villages of #Chkalovskoye, #Shevchenko, and #Borovskoye and controlled the Chuguyev-Kupyansk highway to #Grushevka, which allowed them to move equipment and artillery systems to the line of contact.
▪️ The Ukrainian command is forming a strike force to storm #Kupiansk near #Grushevka and #Staroverovka. Russian Forces are conducting artillery and missile strikes on the places where the enemy forces are concentrated.
▪️ The AFU shells rear settlements in the liberated areas. The village of Velikiy Burluk (Bolshoy Burluk) was particularly badly hit.
Ukrainian formations will block the Russian Forces' reserves in #Kupyansk and try to bypass the city from the north, and advance towards #Dvurechenskoye.

▪️ Russian Forces' reserves reached the eastern bank of the Oskol River and suppressed attempts by the AFU mobile groups to cross the river.
Apparently, the AFU command will reinforce the mobile units on the western bank of the Oskol with heavy equipment and try to reconnoitre the #Izyum defence from the #Gorokhovatka side.
