Not your stereotypically quiet and introverted librarian, you’re likely to hear her booming voice before you see her! Priyanka loves culture and history, and is a passionate advocate of the value of the Humanities in a STEM-focused world. Formerly a social worker/activist 🌈 with NGOs in India and Mexico, Priyanka began her library career in 2008 when she moved to Singapore. Priyanka is a strong believer in the power of social justice. Meet Qi Yu, our kawaii anime-like librarian who looks forever young 👧. She’s into all things cat, including real cat 🐈, sticker cat, wallpaper cat and what have you. Yee Xin loves long walks on the beach 🏖 but hates sand, hot weather, and the ocean. She enjoys trying new things from cooking to drawing and is the proud owner of three hamsters named Cheesecake, Fishcake and Beefcake. Annyeong! This is Mi-Kyeong, our korean unnie who maintains seamless access to the library’s collection 📚of over 1 million e-resources (tough work but somebody’s got to do it💪). Mi-Kyeong moved to Singapore in 2008 and joined our library in 2011. She loves Singapore’s evergreens but also misses Korea’s four seasons 🌸🌳🍁☃️. Siu Chen is a delightful soul who embodies the essence of warmth 🌞 and authenticity. With an easy-going demeanor, she navigates life 🧭 with enthusiasm and an open mind. Siu Chen was law-trained 👩🏻‍🎓 but she decided to become a librarian instead (coz librarians are way cooler 😎).
