Our Perseverance rover is less than two months away from landing on the surface of Mars! When the rover lands, it has a hefty to-do list that will help us with our search for signs of ancient life, which includes finding favorable rocks, drilling, collecting, and storing. Hundreds of mission critical events must execute perfectly and exactly on time for the rover to land on Mars safely including Entry, Descent, and Landing, or "EDL,” which begins when the spacecraft reaches the top of the Martian atmosphere, traveling nearly 12,500 mph.

Earth from the space station
Astronaut randolph bresnik recorded a video of the 2017 spacewalk.
"Sometimes on a spacewalk, you just have to stop for a moment and enjoy the beauty of the earth," the astronaut said of the video. "This Go-Pro film is about our space walk in which Joe Aqaba and I repaired the Canadarm2 robotic arm and the Dextre robotic arm."

Orbital Insertion Burn a Success, Webb Arrives at L2
Today, at 2 p.m. EST, Webb fired its onboard thrusters for nearly five minutes (297 seconds) to complete the final postlaunch course correction to Webb’s trajectory. This mid-course correction burn inserted Webb toward its final orbit around the second Sun…

For the second time, NASA has postponed the launch of the Artemis 1 rocket to the moon due to a leak of supercooled liquid hydrogen, and a new date for the launch has not yet been determined. The ultimate goal of the Artemis mission is to send astronauts back to the moon, and for this reason, it is considered a historic mission.

Boom! NASA's spacecraft "hit" an asteroid
A NASA spacecraft collided with an asteroid at a very high speed during training operations on Monday. This operation was carried out in completely realistic conditions and with the aim of preparing for the day when the heavenly bodies will collide with the earth.
In this space encounter, the Dart spacecraft hit an asteroid at a distance of 11.3 km from the earth at a speed of 22,500 kbm/h. Scientists expected that this collision would create a hole in the asteroid, scatter many rocks and soil in space, and most importantly, distort the orbit of the asteroid.
