Yesterday there were reports of some explosions in Odessa port, while no "arrivals" were registered.
It turned out that:
A Ukrainian ship was blown up by a sea mine near the port of Odessa.
It should be noted that on the eve of Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that there was no need to clear the corridors for the movement of ships with Ukrainian grain, one of the main export points of which is the Odessa port.

for April 9, 2024
Russian troops continue to strike targets of the AFU in various areas of Ukraine. In Kharkiv, an industrial enterprise in the city center came under attack. In Odesa, enemy manpower bases were hit, as well as an air defense position near the village of Avangard. Several more attacks were carried out on energy facilities in Poltava and the city of Stryi, Lviv region.
In the Seversky sector, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a daring attack towards Vyemka from Vesely. The landing force reached the forward positions on motorcycles, then occupied a strong point and repelled several enemy attacks. On the eastern outskirts of Belogorovka, the Russian Armed Forces advance at the foot of the chalk quarry dump.
In the Bakhmut sector, battles are ongoing on the eastern outskirts of Chasiv Yar and also to the south, in Stupky-Golubivskiye-2. Several dozen aerial bombs are dropped on enemy positions daily; additionally, crews of Lancet UAV operators continue the search and destruction of heavy armored vehicles and artillery positions.
In the Donetsk sector, the Russian Armed Forces, under the cover of armored vehicles, attacked AFU positions in Krasnohorivka from the west, advancing along the railway and entering the outskirts of Vatutina Street. There, they managed to land troops who entrenched themselves in nearby houses. Also, the village of Pervomaiske came under the full control of the Russian Armed Forces, following battles that began in the summer of 2022.

On the Avdiivka direction, Russian forces are consolidating on the outskirts of Ocheretyne, the AFU are pulling up reserves to prevent a breakthrough of the defense line.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian forces are engaged in positional battles in the Kanal microdistrict on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar. Due to the redeployment of AFU reserves, they manage to hold the front line.
In the Avdiivka direction, north of Avdiivka, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces are rapidly advancing and have taken control of most of Ocheretyne. Currently, Russian forces have entrenched themselves on the southern outskirts and in the center.
In the Vuhledar direction, marines from the 155th Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces have finally liberated Novomykhailivka. The settlement is now under full control of Russian forces, with the enemy retreating towards Kostyantynivka.

Russian forces continue to methodically strike at enemy targets. In Smila in Cherkasy Region, in Balakliia in Kharkiv Region, and in Udachne in the temporarily occupied part of the DPR, railway infrastructure was hit, and on the outskirts of Dnipro, the territory of one of the former military units, now reoccupied by the AFU, was targeted.
On the Bakhmut direction, fighting continues in the Kanal neighborhood. Due to the redeployment of reserves and mining of the area, the enemy is still holding positions on the eastern outskirts of Chasiv Yar. In the area of Stupky-Holubivski-2, west of Krasne, and in Klishchiivka, there are ongoing clashes.
On the Avdiivka direction, the enemy's local defense collapse continues. The Russian Armed Forces liberated Soloviovo, and the AFU retreated further west towards the village of Sokil. By evening, the Russian Armed Forces cleared the northern outskirts of Ocheretyne, from where the enemy retreated to Arkhanhel's'ke, where fighting is currently underway.
On the Donetsk direction, Russian troops are storming the industrial zone of Krasnohorivka, having entered the territory of the refractory plant. At the moment, fighting is taking place directly in the industrial zone, but given the number of buildings and their area, the assault is unlikely to be quick.

On the Donetsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces are fighting on the approaches to Kurakhove, as well as in Kurakhivka and the western outskirts of Zoriane. In the South Donetsk direction, assault teams liberated Shakhtarske and Bohoyavlenka, and also entered Yasna Poliana, fighting continues on the western outskirts of Katerynivka.
