β‘οΈπ·πΊπΊπ¦π‘@Rybar's Analysis: Consequences of Strikes on Ukraine's Energy Infrastructureβ‘οΈ
π The Rybar Team continues a systematic analysis of the consequences of fire strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The extreme (hopefully not the last) strike was carried out by the Russian Armed Forces on Saturday 22 October.
π₯ The following facilities were hit by fire that day:
βͺοΈ Target #1 - cutting off the Rivne NPP from the 330kV power grid
β Rivne 330 substation, 330/110/35/10 kV
β Substation Lutsk-Severnaya, voltage 330/220/110/10/6 kV
β Substation Kovel 330, voltage 330/220/110/35 kV
β TS Khmelnitskaya 330, voltage 330/110/10 kV
β Substation Shepetovka 330, voltage 330/110/35kV - at least 330/110kV autotransformer was affected.
βͺοΈ Target #2 - impact on the Odessa power district and create an electricity deficit in the Odessa area.
β Pobuzhskaya 330 substation, 330/110/35/10 kV
β Substation Kvartsit 330, voltage 330/150/35 kV
β TS Polyana 330, voltage 330/110/10kV - presumably
β TS Trikhaty 330, 330/220/150/35/10kV - presumably
β PS Ukrainka 330, voltage 330/150/35kV, presumably
β Substation Ardjalik 330, voltage 330/110/10kV
π©Έ Interim Conclusions:
After the large-scale strikes against Ukrainian power plants on Saturday, electricity supply was restored everywhere by Wednesday, albeit with rather severe restrictions.
βͺοΈ The main strikes took place in the centre and west of the country, where the restrictions on electricity consumption were the greatest.
βͺοΈ In Kharkov, for example, the underground escalators could be put into operation because the deficit caused by the shocks was not so large.
βͺοΈ However, it would be fundamentally wrong to claim that the strikes have passed without a trace and that their consequences have been completely overcome.
It is now clear that the shocks once again targeted autotransformers with 330 kV high voltage. Such shocks do not completely cripple the substations themselves, but they do cause considerable difficulties in supplying power to the areas near the substations.
βͺοΈ The transfer of power to the remaining autotransformers leads to their overload during peak loads and emergencies. This leads to the triggering of automatic emergency power systems and repeated disconnections of consumers.
This may explain the numerous complaints from consumers that rolling blackout plans are not being adhered to and there is no power even though it should be there according to the plan.
βͺοΈ To be fair, the Ukrainian energy sector is doing everything in its power to stabilise the situation, and the rolling blackouts are designed to even out consumption peaks in the morning and evening. But it is already clear that this is clearly not enough.
π¨ We are under no illusion that the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian authorities will appreciate the humanism of the Russian authorities in choosing targets for the attacks. We are and remain enemies for them.
Therefore, the attacks, if they take place, must be carried out with maximum efficiency, taking out not the power conversion plants but the substations (SCPs).
Only by attacking them can a substation be completely knocked out without destroying the high-voltage equipment.
Otherwise, the effect, as we are doing now, would take too long.

β‘οΈπΊπ¦π·πΊπ‘ Repeated Strikes on Power Substations in #Odessa Regionβ‘οΈ
During today's massive missile strike, the RF Armed Forces struck several PS in the #Odessa region.
One of the targets again was the #Usatovo 330 kV PS. In previous attacks, 330/110 kV autotransformers got hit and there could be no more than two units left at the station.

So that the system cannot be rebuilt each time and such measures actually have an effect, the attacks must be carried out systematically and without long interruptions.

β‘οΈπΊπ¦π·πΊπ‘ Russian Armed Forces Massive Missile Strike on Infrastructure in #Ukraine; 26 Jan 2023 - what is known by 14:00β‘οΈ
π₯ Russian forces have once again struck various infrastructure facilities on the territory of #Ukraine.
The missile attack the night before was preceded by active work of Russian kamikaze drones Geran-2. Apparently, the RF Armed Forces, in addition to direct strikes, were identifying the enemy's air defence positions in this way.
β¦οΈ So far we have been able to gather the following information about the results of the firing:
πΉ #Odessa: The Novoodesskaya 330 and Usatovo 330 substations near the city have been hit again. Water and electricity supplies are partially missing in Odessa, with local authorities announcing long periods of power cuts.
πΉ #Kiev: The Russian Armed Forces hit an unnamed facility in the city's Goloseevsky district. Some representatives of the Ukrainian authorities believe that the strikes were carried out by ballistic missiles.
πΉ #Kiev region: Information was widely circulated on the web suggesting that the Kiev hydroelectric power plant might have been hit, but there is no confirmation. At the same time, the local administration has confirmed a hit on one of the energy facilities in the region.
πΉ #Vinnitsa: Several explosions have occurred in the outskirts of the city itself and in the region today. Ladyzhinskaya TPP could have been hit.
πΉ #Zaporozhye: The RF Armed Forces launched a powerful rocket attack on an industrial facility in the suburban town of #Volnyansk.
πΉ #Kramatorsk: A shell hit one of the medical facilities in #Ivanovka, not far from #Kramatorsk, where Ukrainian servicemen were stationed.
πΉ #Lvov: local sources reported a shell hit one of the infrastructure facilities, but it later turned out that this information was false.
πΉ In #Dnepropetrovsk, #Zhytomyr and #Nikolayev regions, air defences were triggered.
Shortly before the missile attack, authorities in #Kherson, #Cherkasy, #Kiev, #Dnepropetrovsk, #Zaporozhye and other regions of the country preemptively conducted emergency power cuts.
π This time, the Russian attack was smaller in the number of launches and affected sites than the previous ones. However, it also achieved its goal. The #Usatovo and Novoodesskaya substations in the south are now unable to receive electricity.
Nevertheless, it is not enough to disable the enemy's power system if the Russian command still sets itself such a goal.
