❗️🇮🇱🇵🇸🎞 Israeli-Palestinian conflict chronicles:
October 12-13, 2023

▪️Palestinian groups continue to shell Israeli settlements from the territory of the Gaza Strip.

The largest number of missiles hit Sderot and Ashkelon, where the militants fired more than four hundred missiles over two days.

▪️The Israeli Air Force bombs the Gaza Strip almost non-stop, destroying not only militants, but also a large number of civilians.

The humanitarian situation is critical: there is no water and electricity in Gaza, and medical resources are almost completely exhausted.

▪️Israeli authorities have demanded that one million residents of the northern Gaza evacuate to the south, further exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe.

One of the humanitarian convoys was hit by the Israeli Air Force, killing seventy people.

▪️The Israeli Air Force has launched several missile strikes on airfields in Damascus and Aleppo in Syria.

By doing so, the Israelis are trying to disrupt Iranian forces' logistics in the region, which use these air harbors for their needs.

▪️Hamas launched an attack with Ayyash-250 ballistic missiles, using them for the second time in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

One was intercepted over Safed; fragments of another crashed into a fertilizer plant near Haifa.

▪️On the border with Lebanon, the security fence at kibbutz Hanita was blown up.

In response, the IDF shelled southern Lebanese territories in the Aalma al-Chaeb area. A group of five foreign journalists came under fire, one of whom was killed.

▪️By Friday, the number and intensity of armed clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces had multiplied in the West Bank.

Hamas had earlier called on the local population to rise up against the Israelis and launch attacks against them across the region.

❗️🇮🇱🇵🇸🎞 Israeli-Palestinian conflict chronicles: October 26-27, 2023

▪️The IDF announced the expansion of ground operations against Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip. Immediately following the announcement, the most extensive bombardment of the enclave since the escalation began commenced.

▪️Expansion, in this context, signifies conducting deeper raids within the enclave. There is no mention of the commencement of a full-scale ground operation yet.

▪️Over the past two days, Israelis have carried out several such actions, with varying degrees of success. On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, Israelis carried out a raid in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, but the actual results remain unknown.

▪️However, the raid on Thursday night to Friday from Maghazi and Bureij did not end in success. Palestinians reported a successful ambush and the capture of Israeli military personnel.

▪️A similar attempt to land marine forces on the beach near the city of Rafah also ended in failure.

▪️Simultaneous to these types of raids, the Israeli Defense Forces continue to reduce the enclave to ruins with air raids. According to Palestinian claims, all communications in the Gaza Strip have been severed, including an internet blackout.

▪️In response, Palestinian groups continue to shell Israeli cities, but the scale is incomparable to Israeli strikes.

▪️Hezbollah activities on the northern border has decreased, but due to the expansion of Israeli ground raids, it may increase once more.

▪️On the West Bank, Israeli forces continue mass detentions of Palestinians.

▪️Yemeni Houthi militants from the Ansarallah movement attempted to launch a rocket strike in southern Israel. The projectile hit the Egyptian city of Taba.

▪️An attack occurred on an Israeli military base in Dahlak in Eritrea on the east coast of Africa.

▪️
Israel forces launched a series of strikes on urban developments in the northern Gaza Strip. The series of hits hit the coastal zone, where there were no casualties.

▪️In the southwest of the city, a crowd of residents waiting for humanitarian aid distribution came under fire. Palestinian media claimed more than 100 deaths, but this was not confirmed by the footage shown.

▪️At the same time, the dropping of containers of humanitarian aid in the coastal areas of Gaza continues. Over the past two days, military transport planes have delivered more than 20,000 rations.

▪️And the first ship carrying humanitarian aid has arrived at the embankment port in southern Gaza. 200 tons of food, collected with the support of the UAE and Cyprus, was delivered to the enclave's capital.

▪️In the central part of the Gaza Strip, the Israelis again shelled frontline Palestinian camps. Several shells hit a warehouse carrying humanitarian aid, killing eight people.

▪️In the south of the enclave, Israeli forces worked on identified Hamas sites in Khan Younis. Meanwhile, bodies of dead residents continue to be found in Hamad Housing Complex after the Israeli withdrawal.

▪️Police operations by Israeli security forces continue in the West Bank. Since the beginning of the escalation, the number of detainees in the region has already passed 7.5 thousand people.

🇮🇱🇸🇾 During the night, the Israeli Defense Forces conducted an attack on Syria from the airspace above Jordan. The city of Aleppo and its surroundings were targeted. According to Reuters, 36 civilians and Syrian Arab Army soldiers lost their lives in the raid.

Israeli media, referring to opposition Syrian sources, report that the attack focused on Hezbollah targets. At least six members of the Lebanese group were killed, including a field commander. Allegedly, a weapons warehouse in the Jibrin area was also struck.

There were unconfirmed reports of airstrikes on Aleppo International Airport and the Nairab military airfield. Nevertheless, this IDF operation outside Israel stands as the largest in several years.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense highlights an intriguing detail from the night's events: in addition to the Israeli strikes, Aleppo was hit by kamikaze drones launched by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham militants from the western regions of Aleppo province under their control. #Aleppo #Israel #Syria @rybar

🇮🇱🇮🇷 And not just them: absolutely everyone was warned.

In general, no matter how paradoxical it may sound, since October 7, the level of unspoken interaction and coordination between the United States and Iran has increased to prevent irreparable situations and maintain an “acute media conflict,” but without crossing borders.

This is also evident from the activities of Iranian “proxies” engaging with the Americans in the Red Sea region. This can be seen in the exchange of blows on bases and columns, where no one truly incurs costs.

Let's reiterate: the very occurrence of a “sudden cruel revenge,” whose timing was announced in advance and was known worldwide, is undeniably surreal. However, people today have become unpretentious and believe.

❗️🇮🇱🇮🇷 Iran's Massive Attack on Israel: Interim (?) Results

A significant number of the launched drones were intercepted by the American armed forces as they approached Israeli territory, while the remaining drones were taken down by Israeli missile defense systems.

A similar scenario unfolded with the launched ballistic missiles, although a few managed to penetrate Israeli air defenses and land at the Nevatim airbase. Fortunately, these missiles did not cause substantial damage to the facility, and the base continues to operate at full capacity. Interestingly, Israeli officials expressed disappointment in the "lack of precision" of the Iranian weaponry.

Previously, we speculated about the potential outcomes of Iran's attack on Israel. As expected, Israel claimed to have intercepted all missiles, while Iran boasted about successfully hitting all intended targets. This narrative allowed both sides to portray the events favorably to their respective audiences.

Nevertheless, there are a few crucial nuances to consider.

▪️ Economic Perspective: Our sources indicate that Iran employed older models from their military arsenal for the attacks, models that had been gathering dust in warehouses due to their perceived unreliability (even Russian buyers had declined them). Despite their outdated nature, these drones and missiles achieved their goal of depleting Israeli and allied resources, as they had to utilize expensive anti-missile and anti-aircraft systems in response.

▪️ Political Implications: Iran retaliated without escalating aggression, declaring the operation's conclusion. If Israel decides to retaliate, they risk further alienating themselves from the global community and straining relations with their allies.

🔻What Comes Next?

It is highly probable that, to shape a favorable narrative for their domestic audience, Israel will target Iranian proxies in Lebanon and Syria rather than directly striking Iran. Given Israel's previous actions against Syrian targets under the pretext of combating Iran, these retaliatory strikes could be substantial.

Additionally, there is a possibility of limited strikes on Yemen and Iraq, as seen in past incidents. If the Yemeni Houthis, lacking accurate intelligence on strike outcomes, become the scapegoat, a strike on Baghdad could provoke a response from the United States. Iranian proxies may retaliate by targeting the US Embassy and launching assaults on American bases.

📌While a direct strike on Iran seems unlikely, the unfolding events resemble a strategic chess game. Currently, Israeli ultra-Orthodox forces are in a precarious position, limiting their options for a calculated response.

❗️🇮🇱🇮🇷 Yuri Lyamin rightly pointed out that Pave cruise missiles, the simplest and most cost-effective option with a non-folding wing, are regularly used by the Houthis in their attacks, and some were launched at Israel.

This supports the idea that during the recent IRGC attack on Israeli territory, predominantly cheap or outdated weapons were utilized (with the possible exception of the Khyber Shikan).

Surplus weaponry that needed to be disposed of was put into action. The Israeli command and coalition expended their limited anti-missile arsenal, marking a success for the Iranians.

🇮🇱🇯🇴🇮🇷 It is completely unclear why everyone suddenly became alarmed over an article in The Wall Street Journal reporting that Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan participated in repelling the Iranian attack on Israel.

▪️ The intentions of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi are crystal clear without any need for elaboration. Both countries have consistently maintained strong political and economic relations with Israel. The significance of The Abraham Accords, of which the Emirates are signatories, speaks for itself.

▪️ The same holds true for Jordan, whose monarchy has ties not only with Israel but also with the British Crown. Anti-Israeli rhetoric primarily aims to appease the general populace.

▪️ Furthermore, the alleged approval to use Jordanian airspace in repelling the attack is merely a fabrication. The coalition freely navigates over Jordan without seeking formal consent.

🔻Even Iranian insinuations of a potential strike on Jordanian territory align with this narrative. To solidify the impact within the Arab sphere post the Israeli attack, such threats towards those supporting the Israeli defense were deemed necessary.
