Several IOF terrorists were liquidated and wounded in the operation. He was the first European to attain the rank of Shahid while fighting for Palestine post-Nakba. 🇧🇪🔴 🫡🔴 🇵🇸
He spent time training in Beirut, Damascus, Amman and Baqa'a Refugee Camp, learning to speak fluent Arabic. His travels and experiences inspired him to write a memoir entitled, "J’ai vécu la résistance palestinienne (I Lived the Palestinian Resistance)", and it was published in 1969 by the PLO. It remains available on the Institute of Palestine Studies. French-speakers should most certainly dive in.
Coudroy's political leanings have been described by some as "fascist" or "nationalist", and he very well may have been both, as he certainly loved his homeland.
