Hachiko, the hero of love

We’ve all heard the incredibly touching story of Hachiko. An Akita Inu loyal to its owner long after his untimely demise is one of the most inspiring examples of how heroic our pets can be. What you might not know, however, is that Hachiko was one of only a few dozen purebred Akitas at the time. Its story helped bring this breed back from the grave since lots of people wanted to get a ferociously loyal Akita of their own. Can you guess how many there are nowadays?
