ComplexCon, an event for digital art from all over the world is back, and this year will be special! The 2021 installment will feature a battle of NFTs!
Creators will compete by creating projects live on stage. Artists Elise Swopes, Blake Katheryn, Steven Baltay, and Chuck Anderson will create illustrations on drawing tablets, and once they’re finished their works will be displayed on a wall for everyone to see. Disney turns its characters into NFTs!
Disney, in cooperation with VeVe, a Singapore-based blockchain firm, has announced minting NFTs of several of its characters. This will be done as a part of the promotional campaign for Disney+. This is not the first time VeVe collaborates with Disney, as it has also previously launched digital Marvel comics and hosts NFTs for DC properties.
The NFT collection, titled “Golden Moments” will feature golden character statues as digital collectibles. The announced characters will belong not only to Disney proper but also to subsidiaries such as Marvel and Pixar. Some buyers will be also rewarded with Disney+ subscriptions.

Shiba Inu releases an NFT collection!
The creators of a meme cryptocurrency, Shiba Inu Coin, have released a set of NFTs featuring 10 000 “Shiboshis”. This came out as a sneaky drop with no prior hype, just like the rest of Shiba Inu’s other projects.
The first 3,000 NFTs from this collection will be sold for 0.1 ETH each in the equivalent of LEASH tokens. The next 5,000 will cost 0.2 ETH each, and the last ones will be for 0.3 ETH each. Buyers will be able to rename their NFTs by paying $100 in SHIB. In addition, Shiboshis will have gaming utility in the upcoming game by Shiba Inu Coin creators.
A single wallet can only buy a maximum of 10 Shiba Inu NFTs. This was decided in order to encourage fairness and avoid bots. So grab your Shiboshis while they’re hot!

Dolce & Gabbana has sold its debut NFT collection “Collezione Genesi” at UNXD marketplace for a whopping 1885 ETH (~$5 650 000)! The collection featured both physical and digital art pieces inspired by the beauty of Venice. Aside from NFTs themselves, the buyers will also get exclusive access to D&G events in the future. The NFT items were prominently featured at Venice’s Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and Alta Gioielleria events back in August. “Collezione Genesi” is the most successful digital fashion collection in history!

NFT wars: Valve vs Epic!
According to the new Steamworks document, any games that are based on blockchain technology and feature cryptocurrency exchange or NFTs are not allowed on Steam! Meanwhile, Epic Games Store has not only allowed the aforementioned games but also encourages their distribution.
Tim Sweeny, the CEO of Epic has stated, quote “Epic Games Store will welcome games that make use of blockchain tech provided they follow the relevant laws, disclose their terms, and are age-rated by an appropriate group. Though Epic's not using crypto in our games, we welcome innovation in the areas of technology and finance.”
