UN Human Rights NY Office Director #CraigMokhiber resigned in protest over timidity of key parts of UN system on issues pertaining to Palestinian Human Rights. In a letter to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights he wrote: "This is a text-book case of genocide. The European, ethno-nationalist, settler colonial project in Palestine has entered its final phase, toward the expedited destruction of the last remnants of indigenous Palestinian life in Palestine."
"Western corporate media dehumanize Palestinians & violate human rights law with propaganda for war & advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility & violence. In the wake of this genocide, there must be an accounting."

🇵🇸 On July 19, the International Court of Justice, or #ICJ, ruled that Israel’s occupation of #Gaza, the #WestBank, and East #Jerusalem (#OPT) is illegal and must end immediately.
Palestinians, of course, have been saying this for years. The court stated that Israel must halt all new settlement construction, evacuate #settlers, and pay reparations to Palestinians, calling some of Israel’s policies “#Apartheid.”
The ruling emphasizes the #occupation’s illegality and highlights the need for international #accountability and policy shifts. This historic ruling, though non-binding, challenges Israel’s legal defenses for the first time.
