🇵🇸 Israeli forces on Monday morning arrested Ahed Tamimi, a Palestinian activist who was previously arrested by Israel in 2017, according to several reports.
Tamimi has often been referred to as an icon of the Palestinian resistance. She garnered widespread media attention in 2017 when she was arrested following an altercation with Israeli soldiers who refused to leave her home in Nabi Saleh, a village in the occupied West Bank.
Tamimi, who was 16 years old at the time, was sentenced to eight months in an Israeli prison as a minor, making headlines around the world.
According to journalist Dena Takruri, who co-wrote a book with #Tamimi, the activist’s father Bassem was arrested last week as well.

Geneva — The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor revealed that thousands of Gaza laborers were subjected to horrific forms of torture by Israeli forces during their four-week detention, which resulted in the death of at least one of them.
Horrific testimonies were provided to Euro-Med Monitor after the deportation of over 3,000 of Palestinian workers to the Gaza Strip on Friday. It was confirmed that the worker Mansour Nabhan Warsh Agha, from the northern Gaza Strip, was tortured to death, while the fate of thousands more is still unknown.

In a statement, the Haifa-based legal center Adalah said that the ministers are displaying “a clear intention to cynically exploit the current state of national emergency to send a message to Palestinian citizens that their status and rights are conditional upon their rejection of their own national identity, and that they face the threat of expulsion from their ancestral homeland.”
